It feels like you're drifting, slipping away,
Is it because she’s been shipped with you today?
Is it her charm, or the things she can do?
Is she better, or is it just me feeling blue?
She's my friend, so how could you stray?
But how can I blame you?
I’m just an admirer, so distant and new.
Someone you know, yet I’m still a stranger,
I overthink it, caught in this danger.
How do you fall in love so fast?
Am I not enough? Will this feeling last?
I hate this feeling, this tangled mess,
I'm no longer in love, but I can’t suppress
The thoughts that linger, the doubts that grow,
Why can’t we work this out, I don’t know.
What if I confess, just a quiet plea,
A secret wish you’ll never see.
So maybe I’ll stop, and let it fade,
As I quietly let go of the heart I’ve made.
