Final chapter!
I decided to add a little poem based on the title, i hope you enjoy it along with this final chapter...
Through shadows deep and tempests tall,
Through shattered dreams and bitter fall,
Amidst betrayal's cruel embrace,
Love found strength, love found grace.
When tears flowed like endless streams,
When hearts were torn from broken dreams,
Hope whispered softly, faint and small,
Love stood firm... love conquered all.
Beyond the throne, beyond the pain,
Through loss, through sacrifice, through gain,
Two souls entwined, brave and true,
Love endured... and love renewed.
For in the darkest, coldest night,
Love became their guiding light,
Through trials vast and shadows long,
Love survived... love grew strong.
Bound by honour, freed by choice,
Together, they found their voice,
Hand in hand, they faced each fall,
And proved... that love conquers all.
Lesley stood on her balcony, her heart aching as she watched the sunset. She missed him, his smile, laughter and warmth. She was strong but she was tired of being strong alone.
Then, she felt it. A familiar presence. She turned, her breath catching as she saw him standing in the shadows just by the door, his eyes soft, his smile warm. "Iredia?"
As he stepped into the light, her eyes widened, tears welling up as she ran to him, throwing her arms around his neck. "Iredia! I was so scared"
She said not being able to hold back her tears
"I thought I had lost you."
His arms wrapped around her as she broke down, tears slipped down her cheeks. "You came back, you came back to me."
His hand brushed through her hair, his voice cracked as he tried to speak. "I promised, didn't I? I will always come back to you."
She pulled back, her eyes searching his. "What happened? Did... did you take the throne?"
He shook his head, his voice soft. "I freed them, I brought justice but I refused to take the throne. It is not my destiny, it is not our destiny."
Her brow furrowed. "But... you are the rightful king."
He cupped her face, his thumb brushing her cheek. "I only want to be your king, if you will have me"
Her heart fluttered. "You really came back... to me."
He kissed her, his lips warm against hers as he slowly pulled back. "I will always come back to you my love, my heart is here," He brought her hand to the left side of his chest "Here with you."
Their lips met again, this time it was soft and tender, a kiss that spoke of love, pain and forgiveness. It was slow, gentle and a promise of forever.
Lesley's body melted against his, her arms wrapping around his shoulders as she deepened the kiss, her soul was yearning for him as much as her heart was soaring. She needed him, needed every part of him.
Iredia lifted her, carrying her to the bedroom as their kisses grew more urgent and hungry. Their love was raw, a bond forged through pain and forgiveness.
His's touch was worshipful as his fingers traced her curves as if memorizing every inch of her. Her body responded, arching into his touch, her skin tingling under his hands.
He whispered her name, his voice trembling as his lips caressed her neck, her shoulders. She shivered, her fingers exploring his back, his chest, feeling his heartbeat beneath her palms.
They undressed slowly and lovingly, their eyes locked as they became one. Their souls entwined. It was tender, passionate and raw. They moved together, perfectly in sync, their love pouring into every touch and every kiss.
They whispered promises between breaths, pledging forever. Their bodies tangled, their hearts beating as one. It was more than just desire, it was love, healing and redemption. Their love was a second chance, a rebirth.
As dawn broke, they lay wrapped in each other's arms, their bodies entwined, their souls at peace. Lesley traced circles on his chest, her voice soft. "Stay with me... always."
He kissed her forehead, his arms tightening around her. "Forever."
In that moment, they found their home in each other.
Their love was imperfect, scarred but it was real, It was theirs.
They had been shattered but they rebuilt each other. They had been lost but they found their way back.
Together, they were whole.
And they would fight for this love... every day.
Iredia stood before the altar, his heart racing as he watched Lesley walk down the aisle. Her gown flowed around her, her veil shimmering, her smile radiant. She was breathtakingly beautiful. His love, his life.
Tears filled his eyes, his heart aching with love. Lesley... my heart, my home...
Her hands trembled as she reached him, her eyes shining with tears. "I cannot believe this is real."
Iredia's voice cracked, his heart full. "It is real my love, always and forever."
The priest's voice was soft, his words gentle. "Do you, Iredia, take Lesley to be your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in heath, for richer and for poorer, to love and protect her, to honour and cherish her, for as long as you both shall live?"
Iredia's voice was steady, his heart sure. "I do, with all my heart and all my soul always and forever."
The priest turned to Lesley, his voice warm. "Do you, Lesley take Iredia to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in heath, for richer and for poorer, to love and respect him, to support and care for him, for as long as you both shall live?"
Tears spilled down her cheeks, her voice trembling. "I do, with all my heart and all my soul always and forever."
They exchanged rings with shaky hands and bright smiles. Iredia's heart pounded as he kissed her, his love pouring into her, sealing their vows. Mine... forever...
The crowd cheered, their families embracing, their friends laughing. The music swelled, the flowers bloomed, and the sun shone brightly.
Iredia held her close, his heart full.
Love had conquered all and finally he was home.
***************
Oh I forgot to add, They lived happily ever after...
Do you believe in happily ever after? Some might think its a myth but I believe when two people believe in each other and put in their best in a relationship, they can keep the fire burning and happily ever after will not be so far from them. I think Lesley and Iredia have learnt their lessons and from here on out they will pioritize each other.
Its a wrap for Lesley and Iredia. I hope you enjoyed this story as much as i did writing it
