Halfway through a fairly quiet shift, everyone was getting ready to eat. Liv, who had just joined the others after stepping away to take a phone call from her husband, was hungry.
"Hmm, smells good guys." Olivia noted as she looked over what Cruz and Brett had made. It was some sort of flavoured chicken accompanied by mashed potato and a variety of different vegetables. Olivia grabbed the stack of plates out of the cupboard as Cruz and Brett laid the containers of food out on the counter.
"Hey Cruz, dish up an extra plate, we have an extra special person joining us today." A familiar voice called out. Everyone turned to see Heidi walking into the common room area with Chase, who was on his crutches a few steps behind her. He seemed a little nervous to be there but still smiled. Liv instantly walked over and pulled out a chair for Chase.
"Thanks." He thanked her as he carefully sat down in the chair. She pulled another chair over and helped him lift his leg up onto it before she took his crutches and rested them off to the side.
"Oh my god that smells lush!" Heidi exclaimed, quickly disappearing off to grab a plate of food. Liv made Chase a plate and got him a drink before she sat down next to him with her own plate.
"How'd your physio session go?" She asked Chase. It was his first home visit from his physio since leaving the hospital.
"Good. He was happy with the set up I have at your place and was happy with how I'm doing. It was actually his idea for Heidi to get me out of the house." Chase explained.
"Good. That's good. Well it's nice to have you here." Liv told her friend. As time went on, Chase soon felt right at home once again. It felt good to be out of the house and around his people again. He knew it was something he'd make sure to keep doing during his recovery.

*Gives Address*
"Gotta go, see you at home." Liv patted Chase on the shoulder as she lept up and ran off with the others. The address of the call wasn't that far away from the firehouse so the team arrived within three minutes.
"What do we have?" Casey asked a woman who ran out to meet them.
"I couldn't wake him up." She cried out.
"Show us where." Casey told her. Liv and Gallo turned to help the medics with their gear as Kidd and Mouch waited outside with the rigs in case they needed anything. As they rushed into the apartment complex, they were led up to the apartment where the guy was. He was unconscious on the bed.
"He barely has a pulse." Sylvie commented as she felt his neck.
"Breath sounds are shallow." Violet noted as she listened to his breathing.
"Can you guys get him on the floor?" Sylvie asked the firefighters.
"Yep." Casey nodded and came over with Liv and Gallo and lifted the guy down to the floor.
"How can I help?" Liv asked the medics.
"Can you get a line in whilst I tube him?" Violet asked.
"On it." Liv nodded and pulled on a pair of gloves before she focused on placing the IV whilst Sylvie and Violet worked on securing the guys airway.
"We need a backboard, gotta scoop and go." Sylvie told Casey.
"Kidd, we need a backboard in here." Casey called over the radio.
"Copy that Captain."
"I've lost his pulse." Liv stated as she checked again.
"Starting CPR." She added. Sylvie quickly hooked the guy up to the monitor and Violet kept ventilating the patient.
"Stop for a second." Sylvie told Liv so the defib could analyse a rhythm.
"He's in V-fib, we need to cardiovert." Sylvie shook her head. Liv continued CPR as Sylvie charged and prepped the defib.
"Okay, everyone clear." She called out. She checked no-one was touching the patient before she pressed the shock button, delivering a shock to the guy.
"I have a pulse." Violet stated as she felt his neck.
"Yeah same." Liv conformed by checking the wrist.
"Let's load him up and get him to med." Liv stepped back so they could get the board into place before she helped them load him up and get him secure.
"Lift on 3. 1...2...3." Casey counted before 81 lifted the guy up and helped carry him out of the complex and into the ambulance.
"Thanks guys." Violet thanked the others as she hopped in the back.
"Goodluck." Liv shut the back doors and double tapped the doors, signalling for Sylvie to start driving away.
"Nice work guys, let's load up." Casey told his team.
Leaving her shift the next morning and knowing her husband had the day off made Olivia super happy. It was rare that the couple got the same day off together so the thought of simply spending the day at home with her husband, brought joy to Liv. She was exhausted. It hadn't been a busy shift, just a long one. All she wanted to do was curl up in bed and sleep the day away. She had 48 hours off now so that's exactly what she planned to do. Catch up on sleep and relax. After driving home, Olivia walked into the house quietly. It was silent. That normally only meant one thing. Both Chase and Antonio were still asleep. She popped her head in on Chase who was sleeping peacefully before she headed upstairs to her husband. He too was sleeping peacefully. He had had a busy few weeks at work with back to back cases so it was nice to see him getting some proper rest. Liv quietly changed into some comfy clothes before she crawled into bed. Antonio rolled over.
"Hmm, morning." Seeing him awake, Liv cuddled up to him.
"Morning." She smiled and kissed him.
"How was work?" He asked her, rubbing her back.
"Long." She sighed tiredly.
"How was your games night?" Liv asked her husband. The last she had heard from him, he and Chase were spending the night playing video games together.
"It was good. Chase is really good." Antonio laughed.
"He grew up playing them." Liv laughed.
"Clearly."
"Hmm, I could sleep for a week." A yawn escaped Liv's lips.
"Me too." Antonio nodded.
"I love this." Liv mumbled, truly relaxing in her husband's warm and comforting embrace.
"I love you." He kissed the top of her head. He laughed softly when he realised Liv had already drifted off.
