With the Sekai Taikai back on, that meant the competition being televised was back on. Before the competition started it meant a mini documentary with the remaining dojo sensei's.
"The world's most elite karate tournament is almost here. It's the Sekai Taikai. The best under-18 martial artists from across the globe competing for the title of world champion. Samantha LaRusso of Miyagi-Do versus Cobra Kai's Tory Nichols. Winner advances to the girls' final, where she'll face Iron Dragons' superstar Zara Malik. On the boys' side, it's Miyagi-Do's Robby Keene versus Iron Dragons' Axel Kovačević. And it all starts today." A generic male announcer voices as various images of the finalists appear on the screen from their time fighting in Barcelona
"Hi, everyone, and welcome to our live prefight coverage of the Sekai Taikai World Championship. I'm Kevin Burkhardt," The white announcer part of the duo commenting on the fights sits behind a desk "joined by Ryan Clark. Ryan, I gotta tell you, between the two of us, we've covered just about every major sporting event there is, but karate, now that's new territory."
The dark skinned man who is the other half of the duo answers, "Karate on the world stage? What could be better? And we have the best of the best when we talk about the three dojos competing in today's finals..."
Kevin and Ryan even go as far as interviewing Johnny and Daniel about their high school rival and how their fight back then was happening on the same stage the Sekai Taikai was now being hosted.
Daniel got his wish in spreading Miyagi-Do with the world as the hosts share a montage of the teaching styles brought to the States by Nariyoshi Miyagi. That spotlight was dimmed by those who know Silver as his interview piece came right after making it seem as if he was Mr. Miyagi's old friend.
Silver's tournament cheating was brought up only it was labeled as 'alleged' meaning he was able to spin the lie to promote his Iron Dragons in a positive way.
"The Iron Dragons are clearly the team to beat." Kevin boasts as footage of the dojo passes on the screen "Based in Hong Kong, led by former three-time Sekai Taikai champion Feng Xiao, better known simply as Sensei Wolf."
