A lot had happened since the end of the All Valley within the world of the adults.
Not only had Carmen found out she was pregnant, sending Johnny into a spiral of changing everything for what was to come. Those changes came in the form of trying jobs where he was the boss, having safe furniture with no bugs in the house.
The LaRusso household also had changes in that Daniel invited Chozen to help him bring down Cobra Kai. There plan was for Chozen to infiltrate Cobra Kai by being a sensei only his backstory and actual words were what gave him away. Silver found out leading for Chozen to threaten the man after beating all his hired sensei's by making it known he could not touch the LaRusso family.
Their next plan was to find one of Silver's old friends and that was Mike Barnes who became a good guy and owned a family furniture store. They ask him for help but all he could give them is the number of Silver's lawyer who drew up all his shady contracts. The ponytail man of course learned of this and confronted Daniel about the lawyer and learn that someone may have burned down Barnes furniture store.
The last straw for Amanda was at a charity auction where Daniel confronts Silver after being baited the entire day to do so. Daniel being seen as the villain and Silver the victim left Amanda to lose all prospects of getting a seat on the board. That was the night Amanda left to go visit her mother and cousin, taking the kids with her.
In visiting her cousin Mandy Amanda learns just how much of a bad man Silver really is and was. He didnt just torture Daniel as a kid but also hurt Mandy, Silver would do anything to get what he wanted.
That night Sam also found out how badly Anthony was getting bullied, the video Cherish shared of him getting thrown into the pool at the water park was enough. Sam then promised to show him some self defense moves even if she had said she was taking a break from karate.
Returning back home the three found that Daniel had gotten beaten up badly. Daniel had confronted Stingray only to get into a fight with Silver which he'd lost. That confrontation led for Daniel to declare he was done with karate. That declaration came just as Johnny was willing to get into the fight leading for him to meet Chozen.
