Ross's POV:
I started to grow very fond of Abby over these past few days. Abby had been around for 5 days now and everyone was getting to know her better and she was getting a lot more confident around us. Azazel hadn't shown up for a while, which was good and bad. Abby was changing my bandages for the last time before I would just take them off fully. "So you think Azazel will come back for me," Abby asked me, "I'm getting closer to all of you now."
"He isn't going to try and kill us you know that."
"He almost killed you."
"He told you that I was 'dying' but you saved me in time. He knew that was going to happen it was his plan to slowly mess with your head until you crack and kill everyone or we stop you some how, then he can get to you easier."
"Gee that sounds just wonderful."
"If you stop thinking it's all your fault then he won't be able to get inside you head."
"Let's hope I don't go insane then." Abby finished cleaning and bandaging my arms and stood up but just kinda stood there. "Abby you alright." She looked absolutely terrified. "Abby?"
"Alex," she muttered before running out and down into the arena. I quickly followed her. Just as I ran in the door shut behind me, I had a feeling Azazel was meant to shut me out.Abby's POV:
I heard clapping and Azazel appeared out of the darkness. I looked behind me in my panic and saw Ross, thank god he is here. "Where is my brother you dick!" I yelled at him.
"Oh your brother he is fine, I haven't touched him. Yet," Azazel said menacingly.
"If you touch my brother I swear to god I will burn you arse into a crisp." I felt a hand on my shoulder, it was Ross. "And I see you showed up, how are you enjoying your little PET Ross," Azazel said laughing. "In case you haven't noticed Abby and I aren't even dating," Ross said and he let go of my shoulder. "Oh what a shame well you will just have to die then I guess."
"Don't you dare touch him!" I said in a voice so menacing I couldn't even recognise it as my own. "Or what, you will throw a fire ball at me. You can't touch me I control you."
"LEAVE HER ALONE AZAZL YOU HAVE DONE ENOUGH!" Ross yelled pulling out a short sword from behind his jacket and handing me one then grabbing one himself. "Magic won't work here at the moment," Ross whispered in my ear. I nodded and took the blade. "Smart whittle Wossy are we, good job on picked up on the no magic zone."
"Wait how come you can use magic then," I asked trying to stall for time and making myself look much dumber then I actually am. "See my child the symbols on the door they cannot be seen by the eyes of a Oderrus who has 1 or 2 powers but 3 they can. But you are not strong enough to beat the symbols. Amerite's on the other hand, only weaklings cannot use powers under the symbols." I looked at Ross who was looking back at the door then looked at me with scared eyes. "You can see them can't you," I said telepathically to Ross, which I shouldn't be able to do as I knew I wasn't strong enough. "Yes, I can. And how can we speak we should be able to, well defiantly not me. You maybe."
"This is so strange, I want to see if I can teleport."
"Alright." Ross took my hand. "And what are you to children doing hey," Azazel said smiling.
"Seeing if I can get out of here," I said waiting for the right moment.
"Oh but you can't get out of here see, your not strong enough." He was right I couldn't teleport but I could talk to Ross, maybe because he and I were both strong in Elemental something in that would work. "Use your elemental powers they should be strong enough."
"You have to be strong in everything to use your powers," he said clicking his fingers trying to create a fire. "Hhmm, if you can see the symbols then you can use Wizardry."
"But I don't know how to teleport."
"Just think of a place and I shall think of the same place and see if that works."
"Ok not the tree though were is somewhere we have both been that he won't suspect."
"He won't be expecting us to just teleport outside the door."
"But he will know we are there," Ross had a point I tried to think hard about where was a place we would be safe for a few minutes to call the others. The only place I could think of was my parents place but Ross hadn't been there, at least I didn't think he had. "Have you been to my parents place?" I asked.
"When I was younger, it's near the park right. On the corner with the black and white balcony?"
"Yes, go there."
"Alright, on the balcony I can't think of anywhere inside."
"Ok, just try ok if it doesn't work then we shall just have to think of something else."
"What are you two doing, you just keep starring at each other," Azazel said confused.
"Talking."
"But you can't, the symbols."
"I guess that doesn't work," Ross said. "Now!" I said and we teleported out of there. When we touched down on the balcony we weren't holding hands anymore so Ross teleported on his own, sort of. I wasn't strong enough before so it had to be both of us. I put that aside for a bit and tried to open the door, it was locked. "Is there still a key around?" Ross asked. "No they have been dead for 6 months, they covered everything and haven't resold, I don't think they ever will."
"I know how to pick locks."
"No need, follow me." I climbed up onto the roof and opened a little hatch in the roof using a key that I always still had. "When did you put this in?" Ross asked jumping in through after me. "When I wanted to look at the stars my dad built this so I could just go onto the roof really easily, come in handy now." I jumped down into the actual house and called Alex.
Alex- "Yo what's up."
Abby- "Azazel is in the tree in the arena. BUT DON'T go down there, there are symbols that will stop you from using your powers."
Alex- "How did you get out."
Abby- "I will explain later, just get everyone somewhere or tell them to not go down there for about 2 minutes now, Azazel is looking probably looking for us but he doesn't know where we are."
Alex- "Wait looking for us, why is he in my room or something."
Abby- "I'm with Ross. Just please do something, like get rid of the symbols or come to us."
Alex- "Where are you?"
Abby- "The special place on the corner."
Alex- "What?"
Abby- "Think for a minute, you met me in the special place but there is something on the corner."
Alex- "Oh right, ok will be there once I get rid of the symbols."
Abby- "Be careful he may be waiting for you."
Alex- "Will do, thanks."
Abby- "And please hurry." I hung up and looked at Ross. "What do we do now?" he asked.
"We just wait till either Alex and the others get here first or Azazel does."
"If your parents lived in it with you it should be mildly protected, so that should by us some more time."
"Hopefully." I took the plastic sheeting off the couch and we sat down waiting for either one of them.
