Third person POV (next morning)Elaine and Aurora woke up to the reverberating sound of Aurora's alarm clock, 7:00. They had to leave in an hour to meet Sam, Chase and Drake downstairs. Drake was joining them on this trip since he was now enrolled at their school, thanks to Elaine's mom for taking him in as a new foster child. Chase hadn't gotten back to the hotel until around 12:30, 2 and a half hours after curfew. Ms. Clark didn't notice since Sam checked him in with Ms. Clark when they all got back from the ball.
Sam could tell that Chase was upset but Chase denied his pain anyways.
"Sam?" Chase asks from across the room.
"Yeah?" Sam replies.
"What happened with Aurora and that guy?" Chase asks while walking towards Sam.
"You got it all wrong," Sam says while shaking his head, "Aurora pushed that guy away from her and turned around to see you kissing someone else."
"Oh, I messed up didn't I?" Chase says while lowering his head.
"Yeah, Chase you really did," Sam says disappointed in his friend. Sam goes to his suitcase and pulls out a t shirt and shorts before going into the bathroom to change and get ready to meet everyone downstairs. I leave Chase alone for a while to let him think.
Drake POV
I was in a hotel room all by myself. Nothing her but me and my thoughts. My thoughts all seemed to revolve around her. I thought and thought, I wanted her to love me again but I had no idea how to make that happen. Last night we had danced and I think I comforted her. Sam was an awesome guy to meet and I think we'll end up becoming friends if we can move on from the Chase and Aurora situation which shouldn't be hard because neither Aurora or I did anything wrong. How was I supposed to know she had a boyfriend? I don't really know what to call them since I don't think they were officially a couple yet. But, I know they both liked each other but I don't know if they've had the time to love each other yet. I looked at the clock, 7:30. I only had a half hour to get ready and meet Aurora, Chase, Elaine and Sam downstairs. I grabbed clothes from my duffel back and threw them on before going into the bathroom to brush my teeth.
Third person POV (8:00, in lobby)
When Chase and Sam arrived down at the lobby, Drake, Elaine and Aurora were already there. Drake's arm draped over Aurora's shoulders. Chase clenched his fist and Sam nudged him so Chase would realize what he was doing and how angry he looked. Chase removed the evil glare from his face and UN clenched his fists. Sam and Chase continued to walk towards the three of them so they could wait for a bus to go back into downtown Athens, Aurora still had to return the library book.
When the bus came, Elaine sat with Sam and Aurora with Drake so Chase was forced to sit behind all of them, by himself. When they arrived downtown, they had to find the bookstore where Aurora had found the book.
"Aurora, was getting that book really necessary?" Sam asks as the cross the street.
"Yes, yes it was," Aurora confidently replies back.
Once they arrive at the entrance to the bookstore, Sam holds the door open for everyone. Aurora talks to the book lady for a bit before she walks over to the original place that the book was. She goes to put it back on the shelf. When the book is back on the shelf, they all hear a click and one section of the book case departs from the rest. A wooden door is reveled and Aurora walks towards it. She slowly pushes the door and it creaks open. Looking behind her to make sure that the librarian was not looking, she slowly enters the dark room. It turns out to be a hallway and everyone else follows behind her. The hallway leads to a room that is only lit by a few candles.
