Lolita's POV
My first thought when I stepped on to the floor of the airport in Seattle, was not what I expected. Everyone seemed the same as if I were back in New Jersey. My throat tightened, New Jersey. Now that most of the traveling process is done I felt grief. My friends. Chorus. My old house. Brick Beach. Everything. it is possible that some good things might come out of this. For example I will have a meet and greet with my all-time favorite band in a month. It is Febuary Fourteenth. I am so excited. I looked around for Gracie, and my nieces, Carly and Cassandra and of course Gracie's husband, Jeff. Finally my mom spotted them.
"Look, they're over there. Gracie! Jeff! over here." My mom screamed waving her hand frantically. After Gracie looked around she eventually spotted us. She smiled and whispered something in Carly's ear. She smiled and saw me. A huge grin appeared on my face. I ran over to my nieces giving them each a big hug and kiss. Carly is five years old and Cassandra is two years old.
"Lolita!" Screamed Carly hugging me tight like she always does when she sees me. I hugged her tightly back and began tickeling her.
"Stop Lolita!" Carly laughed and starteed beating me up. Her younger sister Cassandra copied her and began doing the same thing. I fell to the floor being overdramatic just to make them crack up. When they got out of hand I began sitting up, gasping for breath.
"Guys, I need a break I'm still stiff. We have plenty of time to play okay? I just need a breather."
"Alright." Carly sighed. How do they always have so much energy? I wondered to myself shaking my head.
"So I went on line to look at a few pictures of Mathews Beach and the neighbor hood looks so adorable." Said Gracie.
"Where's the beach?" I asked sounding too excited.
"Right next to Lakeside ave which is the street we're living on." Said Gracie making a motion with her hand that surrounds her daughters and husband. I rolled my eyes trying not to stick my toung at her like a two year-old. My parents and brother and I are living on Alton Avenue. I haven't seen the houses yet so I'm super-duper excited.
"Well it's not exaxtly a beach. Theres a river, sand, and a dock." Said Jeff coming over to us finally not talking on his phone anymore. He always does, but it's for his job so he has to take the calls. He gave Gracie a look that says, "be nice." I thought of a bad-ass comeback but came up with this:
"Well I'll be coming over more then usual so beware." I gave in and stuck my toung out at Gracie. Yes, I am well aware that I can't come up with clever things to say for my life.
"Yay!" Said Carly. "Cassandra just clapped her hands, smiled and said yay, Lolo." I loved the nickname that I got from both of them.
"Where is mom, dad, and Steve?" I asked looking around and noticing they were no where near us.
"They're by the luggage carousel waiting for our stuff." Gracie explained. After a few more minutes Mom, Dad, and Steve all came back with our stuff. I picked out my suitcases while everyone else got theirs.
"Alright you guys ready to get on the shuttle?" Our mom asked. Okay this was it. After the shuttle stopped we'd be close enough to get back in our cars and drive to our new home. I took a deep breath and nodded.
"Can't we take Oreo out for a little while?" Carly asked concerned about her.
"No honey not till we get home, dogs aren't alowed to be in the airport unless they're in a cage." I explained. I felt bad for her too. She's been stuck in that thing all day. We walked out of the airport and got on to our shuttle. Perfect timing it just arrived.
"Our next stop in Seattle, Washington is Mathews Beach everyone. Mathews Beach." Said the driver. I took out my phone and sent a snap chat to Krisite and Megan. I took a picture of me, raising my eye brows and my jaw dropped. The expression is meant to say something like, "Ohmigod I'm almost at my new home!" I put my phone back in m coach bag and grabbed a few treats to give to Oreo. Ten minutes later we arrived. I let my sister go first with Carly, Cassandra, and Jeff and then followed my parents, then Steve. Of course. It was raining. I forgot about that. It does tend to rain a lot in Seattle. We all got into our cars and drove on to our streets. I gasped when I saw the neghbor hood. Beautiful green grass, trees everywhere it's like woods and the beach all in one. The houses were huge. Finally we pulled up to ours. It is a two-storie house, with a beautiful circular window in the center and one little square window on the left and right side of the house with little blinds on the top. The house is a beautiful white color made with thin vinyl siding and gray shingles for the roof. I gasped at how beautiful it is. Our front yard is huge, with an adorable porch with a cute litte swing bench to sit and read on. I took Oreo out of her cage and ran with her to the door. Everyone else rushed in wanting to get dry. I looked around for a little bit letting everything sink in. The colors weren't bad but we may have to change some of them. In the living room it was a bright yellow color. Maybe the family that lived here before us wanted a bright color since it rains most of the time here. After everyone else came in and got settled down I grabbed my stuff and went upstairs into my room which was the first one obn the left. I turned the knob and opened the door slowly.
"Ahhhhhhh!!" I screamed. It was adorable! The colors were perfect! A light purple and a sky blue. Ohmigod Ohmigod. My parents came rushing up the stairs worried.
"What's wrong?" My mom asked. She looked around closely and laughed.
"Mom, everything is perfect!" I can not wait to start putting my stuff into this room.
"I'm glad you like it. I know you're father and I are happy with the house." I hugged my mom.
"I know you'd be able to find a way to look on the bright side of things. We'll start getting our furniture out tomorrow. Well first our beds ovbiously. My mom said making me smile even more. Even though I was happy one thing kept nagging at me. I ignored it though and went back downstairs with my family. I took Oreo outside and holy crap the back yard is huge! Damn I wish it wasn't raining.
