And you looked me up & down & told me I was not the same person as I was last year. And instead of feeling bad about that like I was supposed to, I smiled. Because damn right, I am not the same person as I was last year. Because people change, people grow; people are not concrete objects that stay the same as the cracks get deeper & more numerous. If you want to be something, go be it. Do not let anyone hold you back, especially the person who you were yesterday.
