Christmas morning had rolled over, Arianna was still sound asleep, and everyone else had purposely waken up before her to set up the cabin. Trevon placed the rose petals from the opening of their room all the way to the set up in the living room.

"Tre!" Ayla squealed, excited from the thrill of excitement that surged throughout her body. "Can I put more red balloons in the kitchen?"

Trevon glanced over, seeing the kitchen practically filled with balloons as is, and chuckled at the sight. "You can put some more in the living room by her Christmas gifts."

Ayla nodded quickly, rushing toward the living room area to finish decorating, and Trevon listened out to the sound of water rushing out of the shower head in the joined bathroom of the room. The time was slowly approaching and his nerves were at an all time high, but it was worth every jittery tic.

The mood had to be perfect in his eyes, this was a special moment for him, and especially for her. He could barely keep the sweat from beading on his forehead as he took lone last glance over the whole set up—it was perfect.

The living room was dim, only illuminated by the candles, that were placed neatly on top of the rose petals that were shaped in a heart. Her Christmas gifts were placed on the coffee table and everyone stood in designated spots to get each angle of this memorable moment.

Rae walked over to her brother, a comforting smile placed upon her face, as she opened her arms to pull him into a hug. "I'm so proud of you for growing up and wanting to settle down." She praised, earning a light hearted chuckle from him.

"Thank you." He smiled, pulling away from the hug, and looking at his sister. "I hope your best friend says 'yes'."

Rae patted his back with the same warm smile placed upon her face. "She will. She loves the hell out of you with her stubborn ass."

Trevon chuckled, then the room felt as if time stood still, as the faint sound of the door creaking open had filtered in the room. He quickly made his way to the living room, a rush of nerves surging through his body now more than ever.

His sweaty palms gliding against his jeans, while he swayed back and forth in place. He took a deep breath, watching as Arianna kept her gaze down as she followed the path of the roses.

"What's going on?" She asked, her eyes shifting up, and landing on a nervous Trevon. The moment slightly took her back to him asking her to be his girlfriend, making the set up almost nostalgic.

Trevon allowed his instincts to take over, reaching for her hands as his did before, and began to take a deep breath with a small grin. "The last time I did something like this I asked you to be my girlfriend, and even then I was just as nervous."
