{Mercy's POV}

I barely made it through the Underground entrance before it all came crashing down behind me. I wiggled through the debris until I was at the edge of the entrance, staring down at the city. It was bare. All of the citizens of the subterranean city had made it above ground.
Who knows how many were left after my father's men went murderous.
I was still regaining my strength after Hange almost exploded me.
I looked down at my stomach.
All this time I had figured my baby a nuisance, a pest, a leech, but I caught myself wondering if there even was a baby anymore. I didn't have the motherly instinct to be able to tell, and there were no signs that the pregnancy had been terminated or not.
I thought of Levi.
He was bad off.
He had a bad bleed from his head and not to mention the rest of his body that got smashed into the ground.

    I had tried to remain indifferent toward him, but I couldn't help but stop and wonder how extensive his injuries were

I had tried to remain indifferent toward him, but I couldn't help but stop and wonder how extensive his injuries were.
I shook the thoughts away, took a deep breath and carried on.
I repelled down the side until my feet landed on the pavement. I began making my way toward my old home, my old training facility.
I was going to tear my father limb from limb.

{Levi's POV}

I stared blankly at the blond headed woman in front of me. She looked at me with sympathetic eyes as the rest of my squad surrounded us.
"How are you... alive?" I croaked out, my consciousness waning once again.

   Her eyes softened and she walked over to me, crouching down until we were eye level

"I have a strong heart," she said soothingly.
