We made our way to the Inner City. The entire time my blood ran hot with anger, and satisfaction. I was angry at Shannon. No, livid. No, more than that. He was my best friend, yet was the whole reason my plan went to shit. I knew the moment I saw him I was going to kill him. I was filled with satisfaction at the scene of Ed's head falling to the ground. My years of torment and intense training had finally been brought to justice and my heart swelled at the thought. I couldn't help but glance back at Levi as we made our way, a small smile on his face as he stared at the ground. What was he so happy for? Whatever the case, I was thankful he let me finish Ed off. How did he know I deserved to be the one to do it? Did he know about my past, and if so, how?

Why did he care so much? Suddenly he was avid on protecting me and my baby. I could still feel his cold hands on my cheeks as I stared into his sky-like eyes. Something about those eyes was so familiar yet so foreign, and it drove me crazy. I still couldn't shake his voice from my head. "Please don't do this," he pleaded softly, my body going rigid at his voice. His voice was so familiar sometimes yet I couldn't place it. By the time we arrived at the Scout Regiment I was exhausted. The morning bell had just sounded when we made our way through the grand doors of the Regiment, and Levi and I strode through on the back of his horse with our heads held high. We went straight to Hange's quarters, and Levi knocked on the door fervently. "Open up, Hange!" Levi gave me a glance as Hange opened the door. Hange's eyes immediately widened at our arrival and they looked visibly relaxed when they looked us over and saw that we were unharmed. "I'm glad to see that you guys made it back safely," they said with a sigh. "I got permission from the Premier that if you weren't back by sunrise we would send down a platoon of soldiers to-"
