I kept staring there for so long till he finally decided to appear . I opened the window for him to get in and he did ." hi ! " I said with a smile acting like I have forgotten what happened yesterday as he had told me to . " hi , I missed you " he said printing a kiss on my lips . That is how he plays then ! Well , he sure knows how to get a girl . " I missed you more " I said once he pulled away. " are you ready for today ? " he asked and I nodded biting my lips. Well , I know how to play too . He jumped and waited for me in the farm while I ran to the front door . " where are you heading to , cupcake ? " I heard my grandma and turned to her with a smile . " just going out with a friend" I answered and she smirked . I did not wait for her to say anything else and ran to the door . I got out and walked in the corral searching for him . I found his car parked and I got in immediately . He smiled at me then pulled in the drive way . He was smoking a cigarette so I took it from his hand and put it between my lips . He turned to me with a raised eye brow and I sighed giving it back to him then he threw it from the window . " whatever ! where are we going?" I asked him and he smirked saying " curiosity killed the cat!"
I rolled my eyes at him . well , it's just Sam being himself after all ! After a short silent drive , he stopped in front of a lake . He got out and closed the door behind him . I waited for him to open thedoor for me but he did not . What a jerk ! I pushed the car door open rolling my eyes and got out . He sat on the top of the car and I did the same . "so ?" I said and he sighed saying " look , I suck at dates . It usually takes me 3 dates to make a girl love me but it didn't work with you so what about telling me where do you wanna go and pretend it's a date ?" . " um... NYC ?" I asked nervously which caused him to roll his eyes at me and mumble " forget about it " . " why you do not just force me to love you as you always force me to do things ?" I asked and he turned to me frowning . " I don't force you to do things , you do it yourself "he said and I realized the stupid mistake i have just done . I nodded acting like being controlled " but i'm gonna answer you any way " he continued saying and i sighed . Wow ! Sam will give me a clear answer . " I can't " he said and I frowned . Remember what I said about -the clear answer- ? Forget it . " why ?" . " I call it a joke " he said looking at the lake smiling sadly  " you have the power to force anyone to do anything or even control their own minds but you can't make them love you which is stupid because that's what I have to do to stay , make them love me " said Sam . He admitted ! That he is paranormal . But why he has to make girls love him to stay ? And what does he mean by saying -stay-? " what do you .." I was asking but he stopped me saying " hey! How many questions do you have ?" . " just few more " plentyin deed ! " well , what about you ask one and I ask one ? Because I know nothing about you " he suggested and I nodded . " what about your ring ? Why you used to not take it off ? " He asked . " it's my mother's and she got that stone because she loved the pink colour " I answered then sighed thinking what my next question will be . After few minutes I finally got it " okay , my turn . Why does my ring hurt you ?" . He smirked raising his eyebrow then answered me saying " you know how to play this game ! Well , the stone in your ring is the pink quartz , also known as the love stone . All I can say is that I'm the farthest from love so I can't get near it " . " what do you mean ..." I was asking but he cut meoff saying " my turn " I groaned then turned to the lake " you seem to hate Texas so , why you are here ?" He asked and I shrugged saying" I hated it first but now I do not . I do not hate it or love it . I mean ,there are a lot of great things her like my friends , my granny and you but I ...I just " I paused to sigh then turned to him not knowing how to continue ." i'm one of the good things ha ?" He asked with a smirk and I smiled mouthing -yeah- while my mind screamed -you are not a good thing , you are the best- . " not all of your walls had fallen , there's still one to break" he said lighting a cigarette . " my walls ?" I asked frowning and he replied saying " yes , the walls between this place and you . You broke all the walls but one . Which wall is it ? What is the thing that stops you from loving Texas ?" . " you " I said and it took him a while to realize then he chuckled . " really ? I'm not a wall " . " yes you are , if you were mine and only mine , i would have loved this place . But i can not stay at the same place as you are and not have you for my own " i do not know if it was act or truth however , i felt every word i said . He eyed me with an unreadable expression and I took the cigarette from his hand giving him the -don't get closer- look and he just sighed . " you look great in floral dresses and boots " he said and I smiled . " really ?" . He nodded smirking then got down off the car and walked towards the lake . I walked after him and stood right next to him . " hey ! It's my turn " I said smiling and he smirked taking the cigarette from me and putting it between his lips . "if somehow you were a paranormal creature , what would it be ?" I asked and he let out a deep breath saying " oh ! For god's sake Samantha , can't we get to know each other normally ? Without weird questions ?" I nodded then sighed thinking of another question . Today I was so close to know the truth about Sam but well ,I did not . Suddenly I remembered what happened earlier today and asked him" you go out with a lot of girls but you do not go out with Lily and Emma who are the most popular girls in the town . Why ?" . " well , i'm supposed to go out with the girl and make her love me then break her . If I went out with an innocent and sweet girl it will cause me 3 dates or 4 to make her fall for me but if it was a bitch then it will take more than a human lifetime so , I just don't " . " what about me ? Am I a bitch " I asked and he smirked saying " this is our fourth date but no , you are just so stubborn " . I nodded and he stared at the lake then at me again . He took few steps closer then held my waist . I felt a shiver ran through my body then I stared at his eyes . " do you trust me ?" He asked . He was smirking , but I did not trust his smirk . " would you ?" I asked feeling a little bit afraid and a bit more nervous . He got even closer to me till our faces were inches apart and suddenly he whispered " no I wouldn't " . It was less than a second that I was thrown in the cold lake .
