" yes I had a lot of fun " I coldly told her putting my bag on the nightstand and throw myself on the bed . " what is your problem ? I thought I made it clear that I love him ! I thought we are friends " Mary screamed and I gave her a look of disgust . Love him ? She does not even know him ! " you do not even know the boy for god's sake !" I screamed back . " I don't know him ? I know him since he started working here " she sarcastically said and i frowned . " wait a minute , who are you talking about ? " . " i'm speaking about Lucas ! I told you I love him and I trusted you . Now you are all ... " she said but I cut her saying " I was not with him . There is nothing between us !" . She let out a deep breath then realized what I said and frowned . " then where were you ? " she asked me calmly . I ignored her question and got closer to her then held her hand . " can you tell me again what was your first impression of me ?" I told her with a raised eyebrow . " I told you before that I liked you and you are pretty and lovely girl " she told me with a frown . " so you do not think that no one will like to hang out with me because i'm blonde ? " I said which caused her to laugh . " who told you that ? Most of the boys in the town would die to go out with you ! You are the only blonde here " . either she is schizophrenic or suffers from amnesia ! or it's Sam's words as I said before " are you sure ?" . " yeah ?" She said frowning and it was mostly like a question . Maybe she forgot what happened because she was drunk ! " you know what ! Forget about it . What about the mayor's son " I told her with a fake smile and wink . I can not help but ask her about Sam because curiosity is eating me alive . " what about him ?" She asked and I rolled my eyes . " do not play the innocent girl ! You might not remember half of the party but when you talked to him you were not " I said and she groaned . " why you are asking me weird questions ? I don't remember anything . Can't you just tell me what happened that night ?" She said angrily and I sighed . " you were talking to Lucas then the mayor's son arrived and you talked to him , he kissed you on your cheek then you told me that no one will ever go out with me because i'm the only blonde which happens to be a shame here . Lucas took me home and we talked . End of the story ! " I explained to her in a short form and she denied it saying " first , I will not leave Lucas for some guy that I don't know . Second no on kissed me and I didn't say that about you because I promise it's not true . The last thing is that I wasn't wasted , I had 3 drinks or something but I can clearly remember what happened " . " then tell me what happened " I told her with a challenging look . " I was talking to Lucas then aunt Carla said she is going home then I had a cup of beer and went to check on you and you started crying . End of the story ! " she sarcastically said and I frowned . she sounds so honest which proved something is wrong with Sam and I will make sure to know what it is . why does she remember everything but him ? " so , what about this guy you went out with him tonight " Mary said with a wink . Speaking of the devil ! " yeah , about him " I sarcastically said rolling my eyes . " is he the same person you told me you met before ?" Should I tell her that Sam is the Mayor's son ? " forget about him Mary , he is just a stupid boy " I decided against it ! She dramatically put her hand on her chest saying " what ? " . " he yelled at me because I burnt him with the cigarette which is something I don't remember doing then he was like -sorry I ca not control my temper- and blah blah blah " I told her rolling my eyes . " first of all , you didn't tell me that you smoke before ! And if you didn't burn him with the cigarette then why the hell would he yell at you ! " she said confused with a laugh . " he even called me  stupid ! " . " Ouch ! I'm sorry" she said with a sad look " no , i'm just doing fine " I corrected her and she laughed . " I have to go sleep now " she said getting up from the bed and walking towards the door . " hey ! I swear I don't think about you like that ! You are very beautiful and I would go lesbian for you "Mary said before touching the door's handle and I faked a disgusted look . " goodnight Mary " . "Sweet dreams " with that she closed the door . I believe her , although i'm sure she said that but there's something deep inside me telling me to believe her ! Makes no sense right ? And the same thing deep inside me tells me that the whole Mary thing has something to do with Sam or as I said before , she is schizophrenic . The wind blew me somewhere else , what happened to Sam today . I'm sure that the cigarette did not touch his hand ! Was he disgusted of me ? Like I have some kind of skin disease ! For a moment I felt afraid of him today . He was strange . The way he looked when he was angry and the way he yelled at me ! But how could Mary remember everything that happened in the party night but not remember the part when he kissed her cheek and the hurtful things she said . I'm so confused . I'm starting to have a headache already ! Who is he and how can he get all the girls at the party to like him ? I know he is handsome but he is a complete jerk . Oh god , pathetic , Girls here are so pathetic ! I remembered Lucas and smiled .

Days here are passing by so fast . I can not believe that I have been in texas for three weeks already ! Me , Lucas and Mary are close friends now . I stay at my room when Lucas is here but when he is staying at his place , I stay at the basement . It helps clear the mind . We are setting now in Mary's room talking . " so , what about your pink ring ? You never take it off , why ? " Lucas asked me which caused me to smile looking at the ring . " well , it was my mother's ring and she gave it to me before dying " I answered them not taking my eyes off of the ring . This time was my turn to ask one of them a question . " what about your necklace Mary ? " I asked Mary which caused her and Lucas to exchange looks and smile . She always wears a small heart shaped necklace . " Lucas gave it to me when we first became friends " she answered and lucas proudly smiled . " I gotta go now ! I have work tomorrow and Sam , sleep early so you won't be late again " Lucas said walking towards the door and both me and Mary smiled saying goodbyes . " I have to go too so I will not be late . I have been late to work many times " I told Mary with a smile and we hugged each other mumbling goodnight . I got out of the house without making any sound so I will not wake my grandma . I walked towards the basement and opened the door already feeling dizzy . I got inside and once I closed a door I heard a knock on it . Did Lucas forget something here ? I opened the door and it was not Lucas , it was no one indeed . It might be a small pig that ran from the corral and walked on the door . I closed the door and turned then I heard another knock . I groaned then opened it to see someone I did not want to see at all . " hey ! " he said with his stupid smirk . " what do you want Sam ? " I asked rolling my eyes .
