Chapter 27

I made my way to the top of a building and sat on the edge watching the sun set as I recall who I just saved from that robbery,"Out of everybody in this city I find my old girlfriend from before the death of Jesus and she knew who I was with just a kiss..." I say to myself as I hear footsteps behind me and hear them say,"What are you doing up here alone Alize? I would understand for the view but I seen you up here thinking for about three hours." I take off my mask and look at it from the front noticing that I forgot to regenerate the chin part. I then see Carlos sit next to me and take off his helmet with dirt,sweat, and blood covering his smiling face as I smile and reply back to him,"Well Carlos I just seen an old friend who I use to date and after she kissed me and was rolled away into the hospital, I heard her say my name which made me start thinking about how much my life had changed for letting my old best friend get his revenge, I just needed time to think to myself for a bit when no crazy crap was happening." I then lay  back on to the gravelly roof with my legs dangling off it as he looks at the moon in the night sky with it growing darker and darker and getting more beautiful by the minute as stars started appearing before our eyes and the sound of the wind blowing past us as the cars down below us glow their lights upon the streets. "Well it is getting pretty late for you since school is tomorrow, oh and plus the mayor wanted me to tell you that he personally wanted to give you something tomorrow in front of the capital building, and be there by 11:00 am." As he gets up and slides on his mask, I get up too and place my hand over his shoulder grinning,"Well you have school tomorrow too so you can't be out here for long." He then chuckles and replies back with a cool mechanical voice,"I already finished my homework, plus I do yours just for the fun of it." He then jumps off the building and starts gliding around with his black blade looking wings and disappears into the night as I grab my mask below me and put it on as I pull out my phone and check my missed calls and see multiple of them by a familiar number and a text from Don saying that dinner will be ready by 9:40 and I see the top right corner of the screen too see it show 9:27. I curse under my breath and run home by running and jumping from building side to building side until I jumped off the last tall standing building and formed a jet pack on my back, I then make it blast me towards my location with the burning fuels of my plasma powers as I make it within a minute and a half. As I form clothes over my suit I open the door to see Don reviewing homework from today and yesterday at the kitchen table. I am starving for using so much of my powers today but lay on the couch wondering about what I should do with that girl, I mean, I forgot her first name but not her last... I then start thinking about her and realize that I could possibly find her on SnapBook the social media thing that everyone is using nowadays. So I sit up and use my phone to find the app and download it, but it was taking too long to load so I charged some of my energy into it and watched as it instantly went from 3% to finished within that second and started it up. I then made my profile and searched up her last name,"Vazquez." I whisper to myself as I type it in but then a ton of people and pages came up and as I searched them all I couldn't find her, so I sit there wondering what I should do and start remembering her sweet beautiful face, those big brown eyes with those nerdy glasses that makes her even hotter, and how how smooth as silk brown hair waved everywhere she turned with that rocking body...Blanket...Blank...wait a sec? I then start remembering pieces of her name and say every word louder and louder,"Blank, Bingo, Bank, Book..." and then think of Catalina's white costume and then it hits me as I stand up in excitement and type into my Phone, Blanca Vazquez. Her picture then came up and made me yell,"Yes!" And sit back down with Don and his wife looking at me like if I was some kind of weirdo.  As I send a request to her hoping she will accept it I turn off my screen and go take a shower. After I clean myself up I get out the shower to see a pile of new pajamas for me on the toilet seat and put them on. I look in the mirror to see the new Spider-man clothes I got and flex my muscles with the black tank top on. I go to the kitchen and see the chinese food Don's wife made and eat up all of what I had and her left overs. And when I finish I rush back to the couch and see my phone have two notifications, one saying she accepted my request and another as a message saying,"It really is you..." As I lay back down satisfied of what has happened. I message back saying,"Well maybe we could hang out tomorrow afternoon, after the mayors conference with that new superhero Plasma Bullet." And when I send it she instantly see's and replies,"That sounds great! We need to catch up and you need to tell me what happened since the four years you were gone!" I smile as I read it and giggle and reply back. After an hour of talking to each other I say I have to go to school and that I'll see her tomorrow, then she messages back something I didn't expect,"I can't wait too see you! Goodnight and... I love you!!!! ;x" I get so excited and put my phone on the charger as I pull the blanket over me grinning in the darkness unable too go to sleep.
