Rayne's POV
From a laughably miniscule crew to a legion of morbid undeads in one second. Of course the heroes would be shitting their pants. Even the kingdom's most revered archmage couldn't summon such absurd numbers. The sheer mana intake would have wrung any human dry. What a coincidence. I can't do anything right. But if there's one thing I'm known for, it's being a portable power plant.
[Effect: Bloodlust has activated.]
[Debuff applied. Target foes' stats are halved for 30 minutes.]
Fear ignited as panic flooded their ranks. Like an infectious virus. It set off a chain reaction of blood-curdling screams.
"This-what the hell is this?!.
"Impossible... This can't be! How is that freak able to summon so many entities?! What cheats does she have???"
"Why the heck are there even zombies in this game?!"
"Ew! Get those creepy crawlies away from me!"
The terror only magnified indefinitely when Igris unsheathed his menacing longsword. Those pests remembered him, alright. Vividly. It's hard not to when his plume was so distinctly crimson. The day that knight single-handedly annihilated the entire orc's army remains fresh in their minds. A harrowing scene they never wished to relive again. An entity capable of destroying half of Runeterra's population during his heyday-a monster of such calibre was actually a mere puppet in reality??? And a servant of a dork at that??? What in the name of God has their world devolved into???
"Hey, wait a second! Look at those ghosts!"
There was a momentary silence as those black-hearted toads narrowed their eyes and scrutinised the three demon generals beside me.
"I knew it... I KNEW IT! Igris, Kargalgan, Kamish-THAT WAS RAYNE ALL ALONG!!! THIS CUNT HAS BEEN STEALING ALL OUR BOUNTIES!"
"If we had those loot drops, would we even be in this predicament???"
"Will's right! He should've just buried that wench in the ditch back then!"
Amidst the moans and cries of the incompetent cretins, a particularly shrill war cry shattered my eardrums, "Hand over those treasures! You don't deserve it!"
[Bloodlust is detected.]
I kid you not. A mentally unsound retard actually dare to charge forward without so much as a plan... Despite knowing Igris's brutality. The jealousy and self-righteous indignation must have melted what's left of his pea-brain. That or he really thinks I won't do anything to him. Well, props to him, I guess. At least that guy had the guts to act on his words. I can respect that. Unlike the rest, who only dared to bitch and flip me a middle finger whilst making sure to stand at the tail end of the pack.
[Tusk is using 'skill: hymn of the fire dragon'.]
Warm hues dyed my side profile. I could feel the scalding heat. As well as the alarming sensation of my pores being singed. In the next instant, a massive beam of fire whizzed past my peripheral view at high velocity. It punched through the air like a bullet. Too fast and abrupt for anyone to react. The last thing that poor sod witnessed was glaring solar flares before his world went dark. Permanently. Searing flames engulfed him and detonated, nuking out a gigantic crater from where that nimrod once stood. Clumps of debris sprayed everywhere. Alongside charred mystery meat and grilled organs.
A beat passed. The atmosphere was at an eerie standstill, with only a distant ringing tune in the background. Until the delayed arrival of shockwaves shattered the emptiness. Like a pebble disrupting the calm water surface. Decimating g-force smashed into my body, almost knocking the wind out of me. Earthquakes shook the earth, accompanied by a deep rumble. No joke, I could definitely feel the tectonic plates shifting beneath me. Not exactly a reassuring thought.
