Rayne's POV
GRAAAH!!!

[Bloodlust is detected.]

Sound waves churned the stagnant air. Deafening bellows echoed after the instigator. They're basically taking turns serenading me. I squinted against the roaring winds, wincing at my ringing eardrums. Fallen leaves rustled and swirled. I distinctly felt the prick of bloodlust.

[An emergency quest has been issued.]

[Emergency quest: Kill the Twin-Headed Ogres!]

[Time limit: 00:30:00]

Gathered before me was an audience of mutated brutes. They towered over me with their hulking frames the size of small buildings, salivating and grunting incoherently. Hidden among the shade of lush canopies were swarms of bulbous red orbs. They dotted the landscape, tinted with ravenous hunger. A shudder ran down my spine. Rows of decaying jagged teeth spread—the signature sneers of the notorious Gravekeepers. If it weren't for the fact that I too had an army of capable knights backing me up, I'd have hightailed it out of here, pronto.

Resisting the instinctual urge to flee, I firmly planted my feet into the soil, waiting for those hideous mobs to emerge from the shadows. And hideous mobs they were. One of them stepped out. The first thing I noticed was how sickly pale their discoloured complexion was. Even with spots of sunlight seeping through the dense thickets, it still couldn't brighten their greyish skin tone. It was completely drained of blood.

Must be an undead race of ogres.

The monster looked like it's made up of two separate one-headed ogres that were brutally dismantled, then crudely stitched together. Fibrous ligaments were the only thing holding the two halves together.

The top-heavy ogre clenched its halbert. In cue more flexing muscles. Then the axe head began to whirl in circles. Round and round. Until it became a blur. The spinning axe of doom was as deadly as the rotating blades of a chopper, ripping up the vegetation nearby.

ROARRR!

[Bloodlust is detected.]

I felt the air being sliced. A silvery sheen sparkled at the corner. In the next instant, an axe head hurtled straight for my head.

[Effect: Bloodlust has activated.]

[Debuff applied. Target foe's stats are halved for 30 minutes.]

Staring unblinkingly at the incoming axe, my eyes followed its movement without missing a beat. Unbelievable. I could actually keep up with an A-rank monster—no, I think I've already surpassed that category of disasters.
