Promise

The next morning has come, The sunlight shines through the balcony waking Kaneki up. 5 AM like usual, Kaneki wakes up as his biological clock has been used to waking up early. 

Kaneki feels an unfamiliar weight on his body. Touka hugs him and rests her arm around his waist. He slightly tilts his head to look at the lovely girl next to him. How long has he waited for this? Lying next to his love and sleeping through the night, last night was the most peaceful night since he came back to Anteiku.

He whimpers lightly as a painful feeling aches in his left arm. Gosh, I can't feel my left arm anymore. His left arm feels numb as Touka uses it to rest her head on for the whole night.

Quickly forget the numbness in his arm as the feeling of Touka hugging him is way better than his arm feeling numb. Kaneki carefully leaves her to embrace without waking her up and doesn't forget to replace his place with a bolster so that Touka can continue to sleep, he knows she can't sleep without something to hug.

"Onii-chan, you're awake already?" Hinami steps out of her room and sees Kaneki is awake. 

"That's what I should ask you, usually you will sleep more"

"I don't know, I just feel like waking up early today" Hinami replies, but soon she has noticed Touka is sleeping on Kaneki's mattress. "Oni-chan, that's too early" Her face soon changes to a teasing grin

Kaneki embarrassingly pinches her cheeks, "You're too young to know this, kid"

"Oni-chan, your face looks scary"

"Haha, don't worry, we just sleep" Kaneki leaves her cheeks and smiles innocently

"Just sleep?" Hinami raises her eyebrows in concern. She's 14, but she already knows those kinds of things, due to her reading hobbies, she learned about those things through classical literature books.

"You should be the one that trusts me the most" Kaneki tries to defend himself

"Who knows? When opportunities come, people will go for it" 

"Geez, I don't believe you're 14 years old"

"Thanks to you" Hinami chuckles

"Alright. Want to go for a walk with me? We shouldn't wake Touka up by talking"

Kaneki then goes out for a morning walk like he usually does every morning, but today Hinami is going with him.

6:30 AM

"Umm" Touka opened her eyes heavily, yesterday she went to sleep at midnight, unlike Kaneki who used to stay up late and wake up early, 6 hours of sleep was not enough for Touka, moreover she had many days stayed up late before.

Just one day left until the weekend, after today I can sleep as much as I can to recover.

Touka thought as she's trying her best to wake up.

"You finally awake" Kaneki lies next to her and watches as Touka wakes up. "Good morning, Touka-chan"

"Good morning" Touka murmurs. "Early like usual" She weakly says as she's still so sleepy, she just wants to sleep more.

"I just came back from a walk with Hinami" Kaneki pats Touka's head gently with a chuckle, why he's attracted to everything about this girl? Her face, her hands, her tsundere personality, whenever she punches him or calls him an idiot, Kaneki loves it. "Just one more day, Touka-chan, you can sleep as much as you want tomorrow" 

"Ummmm, I don't want to go to school I want to vote for this chapter" Touka heavily sat up with her eyes still closed, making Kaneki also sit up with her. Touka rubs her eyes in sleepiness. "I wonder if Kosho will come to school today... And how will I talk with Yoriko from now..." Touka leans in and rests her chin on Kaneki's shoulder
