Unexpected visitor

"Bye bye, I'm going to school" Touka softly kisses Kaneki and goes out.

Life keeps going like that for Kaneki, peacefully every day, a few more days is their 1 month anniversary. Kaneki's continuation of his study at Kamii has been accepted, and now he's just waiting for a good time to return to Kamii. 

One month with Touka already, I still couldn't imagine this was true. 

Kaneki thinks as the memory from that night starts sparkling in his mind, the night they were in the abandoned building and the first time their lips met each other. He feels so excited about it, and after one month he still so happy about that night, even though it's not supposed to be a happy memory. 

I should start preparing a present for her now

As the sunlight shines through the balcony, Kaneki is facing his back to the light and can see his shadow on the floor. 

Suddenly tensed up with his eyes glowing dangerously, he easily noticed another shadow being reflected on the floor, that person was standing on the balcony behind him. 

That figure is similar to...

Kaneki jumps straight to the conclusion about who that person is, but as he's about to turn around to confirm his theory, that shadow jumps away from the balcony. 

"Tch, why the hell is he here" Clicks his tongue in annoyance and seriousness, he knows this is not a good sign.

Quickly grabbing his mask in case there's some problem, Kaneki runs out to the balcony and swirls his head side to side to find where that shadow has gone. Not down the street, not anywhere on any local house's roof, so it must be...

Kaneki jumps up to Anteiku's roof, it's the only place that shadow could be if it's nowhere around. 

"Looks like you're having a happy life with my stupid sister, huh?" As he lands on the roof, the shadow reveals himself and speaks to Kaneki in an arrogant voice. His bright kagune glowed from his back and his red pupils shot at Kaneki. "I don't believe you managed to survive" 

"Ayato" Kaneki's eyes narrow in seriousness and tense, so that the shadow is Ayato, exactly what Kaneki had thought. "Why the hell are you here?" Kaneki growls quietly and dangerously. His eyes stare back at Ayato without any fear

"That hot-temper attitude, you're becoming more like her" Ayato shooting darts toward Kaneki making him flinch. dashes at Kaneki after he has managed to dodged all the darts.

Kaneki reflects on the attack immediately and nullifies all of his attacks. Even without kagune, it's not impossible for Kaneki to deal with this.

Such a bad greeting

Kaneki charges a powerful punch at Ayato, making him curl his forearm to the front to protect his face. The punch landed successfully creating a strong force that knocked Ayato back a distance. 

The hatred in Ayato's eyes still has not faded, but his kagune slowly faded and his eyes turned to normal. Their little battle may have to end here.

"I thought you're still a useless half-ghoul, seems like you've grown, have you?" Ayato coldly asks after regaining his stance, Kaneki also knows that punch isn't enough to damage Ayato.

"What the fuck do you want?" Kaneki withdraws his fist back to his body "Make this quick and go, I don't have time with you" Kaneki snarls

"Alright, so you don't like to play around huh?" Ayato hisses but meets the cold gaze of Kaneki. "Aogiri wants you to join us"
