Stepping out of the Grotto, Rozan, and Miyarabi stretched, while Mothra needed some assistance from Gojiran as she still partially felt the effects. For all of Anguira's resilience, though, the bolt she took still had her put out of it.
"Alright, since that was a bust, what now?" Rozan asked the group. "Battra's not dead," Mothra said, thinking about how to approach it but Gojiran immediately interjected. "Oh, no, we are not involving her again," Gojiran said, her anger flushing her face. "We'll just have to come up with a new strategy." "Gojiran," Mothra said, as the former tried considering an alternative. "You know she's the only one." "She can't, there's gotta be another," Gojiran said, stubborn to the truth. "If I can just talk with her-" "Like that went well; emotionally unstable or not she can't be fixed," Gojiran said, rather cruelly; if it were fact. Mothra even seemed surprised. "What's so different between you and Battra's circumstances?" That question cut Gojiran's question, as she tensed up defensively. "When we first met, Gojiran, you were a furious destroyer; a beast of vengeance, all from the same reason-family. While your mother may not have betrayed you like I have Battra, your lash-out was driven by the same emotions." Mothra had effectively ended it, put up her chin, despite being the shortest in the room, and pompously walked to the exit of the grotto, spreading her wings in the passageway. "You can think of a million other plans, Gojiran. But I will fix my relationship with Battra and save our daughter. If any of you think to stop me, don't bother." Mothra then flew off, but that final message was open to meaning as to what she'd do if they did. Rozan thought of flying after her, to test Mothra's patience, but only having now got out of the Grotto, and Battra, as well as Godzilla being out there, she couldn't be put back into it.
Battra lay in her den, accidentally passing out, before something strummed her intricately placed strings, stirring her awake. As her eyes opened and adjusted, she felt more strumming of her strings and grinned slyly. Someone was curious, and it would kill them. Following the string, her hands felt it, guiding her as she looked expectantly ahead. As the strumming became greater, she knew she was close. Lo and behold, at the end of her line, and to her surprise on this island, a Kaiju Girl was curiously probing the shiny web.

"Oh, how unfortunate in the Bug-eat-Insect world, don't worry, your life force will serve a far higher purpose than your life would've meant had it run its course," Battra mumbled under her breath, charging sparks on her horn to get the Kamacuras' attention, which it did, and when she was close enough, only a flash and brimming red eyes was the last thing she saw before being paralyzed. With her prey immobile now, Battra didn't hesitate to stick her fangs in and begin draining the bug girl; blue energy coursing to the puncture wounds and flowing down Battra's throat and throughout her body. To her annoyance and dissatisfaction, though, the Kamacuras only lasted a little over a minute before being pale and lifeless. "Dammit. If this is all the life force creatures on this island have, I'll be here for a while." Battra said, noticing she had changed a bit. Feeling her forehead, she felt bumps of growing horns, and her large one had grown more prominent, but looser. Going from 15 to bordering 17, she suspected that if she fed on five or more Kamacuras she'd reach the imago state. But something unexpected arrived.
