Emma shifted anxiously by the front door. "What's wrong?" Amy asked the teen.

"Nothing." Emma said quickly. "Just looking for my keys."

Amy reached by her and grabbed the keys and handed them off. Emma had been acting weird since she had started school a month ago. "Here."

Emma blushed, "Thank you." Emma turned to the door, but didn't make a move to leave, she turned back to Amy. "Can I just not go today?"

"What's wrong?" She asked again.

"Nothing Momma, I just don't feel one hundred percent. Please?" Emma asked.

Amy looked the teen up and down, other than clear anxiety, she seemed fine. "I know it was hard to start a couple weeks late, but you've gone to school with these kids since preschool."

Emma sighed, "You're right. I'm being silly."

Amy reached out and pulled the teen in for an extra long hug. "I love you." Amy considered letting her stay home for a moment, but she had just missed two weeks of school. Amy would spend the next few months thinking back to this moment and wished that she had made a different choice.

"Love you too, Momma. I will see you tonight."

Amy watched the teen walk to her car, her eyes following the bright yellow sweatshirt and converse, then turned to start getting the boys ready to go.

Emma was standing in the dinning hall with her tray trying to decide where to sit when she saw Honor wave her over. Emma walked over and sat down, grateful to not be standing like an idiot anymore.

"How are you?" Honor asked in the soft tone that she had been using with Emma since she had back at school. The same soft tone that half of the people she had come across had used with her for two weeks. She was so fucking sick of it.

She did what she had done for two weeks now and pasted on a smile. "Good! I think I'm catching up on the work." Hunter and Amy had been helping her every night to catch up on her homework.

"Good, good. When do you think you can come back to dance?"

"Hopefully next week." Emma said smiling. She hadn't made weight one day, but she had the rest of the days. She wasn't excited about the weight gain, but she would do what she needed to in order to dance again. Dancing was in very soul, and every breath she had to take without it felt suffocating.

"How are you hanging in with the other stuff?" Honor asked. Almost as if on cue, Logan walked up.

"How is the head case doing?" He asked, answering down at her. And this is how the other half of the people were speaking to her.

"Go away Logan." Honor snapped.

"You're getting fat. Is that supposed to make you more normal? Is your whole fucking family crazy because you're all hungry?" Logan asked.
