"Did you see this schedule her dad sent over?" Hunter asked, pacing the room.
Amy was still looking at the calendar On her own phone. "Yeah..."
"That's closer to half the year...and they are going to leave her for all the holidays and her birthday?"
"It's a bigger commitment than I initially asked. How are you feeling about that?"
Hunter stopped pacing and looked over incredulously at his wife. "What is the other option, Amy? Leave her alone for all that time?"
Amy put her hands up in surrender. "No, I want to take her full time...I was just getting your pulse on the situation."
"I know, I'm sorry. I don't think they will give her up full time, but we will have her as much as they let us. This leads me to my next point...if we are going to be co-parenting, then we will need to parent."
"Like spank her?" Amy asked skeptically.
"Sometimes, and ground her. I just am not looking forward to that conversation with her dad."
"Honestly, H, I really don't think they will care." Amy said. She was still looking in awe at all the time they had been planning on leaving Emma alone. "Come in." Amy called when she heard a knock.
Emma poked her head in the door, still in her PJs from the night before. "Hey."
Amy was sitting on their bed wrapped in a blanket. She opened her arms with the blanket. "Come here, baby."
Emma hesitated. She didn't remember the last time someone had held her in their arms. It had most likely been her dad, but she couldn't remember. She walked slowly over to the bed. "Are you sure?"
Amy didn't respond, just reached over and tugged the younger girl into her lap. "Did you sleep well?"
"Yeah, sorry, I slept so late."
"Your body needed the sleep after the cage match with the window." Hunter teased.
"Is it broken? I'm sorry! I can pay to fix it..."
Amy glared over the teens head at her smirking husband. "He's teasing. The car is fine."
"Is Niko still asleep?"
"No, Hunter already took him to school, so it's just us." Amy kissed the younger girls temple. "H needs to make a phone call, do you want to come make breakfast with me?"
"Is he calling my dad?"
"Yes, he just sent over all the dates of when they would be out of town, and I just want to square things away."
