Something So Beautiful, Yet So Dangerous

Just in time, because the boys walk in. I hear Cap and Tony talking about some weird new technology experiment that could enhance Cap's shield. Ned has joined the group also, (i know him as Ned while the rest of you know him as Bruce Banner) I run over to Ned and hug him, throwing my whole weight possible on him. He catches me, and we laugh. "Hi Ally." He calls me Ally, i have no idea why, he chose a different name for me.

"Hi Ned." I hop down, and turn back towards Tony, he walks over to me and hugs me.

"I see your feeling better." Tony says.

"I'm feeling absolutely amazing." I turn my gaze to Loki, and i wink at him. Only we know how great i really do feel. I turn my attentions to Cap, who in the past i couldn't stand. Like hated him. "Hello Cap."

"Hi Alice. I'm glad you've recovered and feel much better."He smiles.

Is he ever not gentlemanly? Ugh. "Thank you," I smile back. "well come on in boys. I didn't know we were having dinner with Cap and Ned." We walk into the kitchen where i see Loki's pleading eyes beckon me to not leave him. I walk over to Loki and wrap my arm around his back and place the other on his chest. I look up at him, his once pleading eyes shows gratitude, he leans in and kisses my lips. I feel eyes watching us as he does this. They all must be shocked.

Ned surprisingly is the first to pipe in and break the silence, "Are you sure you didn't mess up any of their wires Tony?" He laughs. "Just teasing." His laugh can be so dorky.

I look back at Ned, and laugh, i can tell he was trying to make a joke, but everyone else in the room found it obnoxious. "I think he switched my purple with my pink but i feel fine." I walk out towards Ned, playfully dragging my leg like it is broken, and i throw in a little shake, like a broken robot. The men laugh at this, i walk over to Ned and hug around his shoulder. "I will destroy you." I say in a robot voice, then i straighten up and curtsy, "I mean would you like some wine?" I say in a sweet innocent child voice. The boys find this a riot and the awkwardness has left. We all sit down at the table.

Tony bought a bunch of Chinese food, we dig in, and talk small talk. Thor asks me questions about my childhood, and i answer them. Cap tells us a funny story about one day when he went fishing with a friend of his a long time ago. He tried to catch a fish but the fish was so big, he felt like the fish knew how to do better fishing then him It is amazing, even Loki is enjoying himself. Him and Thor share a funny story about a childhood memory. They laugh as they tell about the time they broke their moms new flower vase, and they blamed it on their father.

The memories fill the room, and there isn't one minute of complete seriousness. We all retire outside, with champagne, and sit in the beach chairs. I sit down on Loki's lap, and curl up in him. "I'm so cold." I shiver up in him.

"You'd find better warmth out in the sea." Loki says quietly. I look up at him, he looks sad that he can't warm me with his body. But his eyes gleam, and he makes a nice green blanket appear, he drapes it over us. "Is that better?" I nod in his chest and smile.

Cap, and Tony are trying to start a fire, tony has no idea what he's doing so Thor pushes him out of the way and he raises his hammer and a lightning bolt strikes the wood. A deep blazing fire sparks up. "Show off." Tony laughs.

I stare into the fires flames, and it makes me remember this saying my mom said once, "How can something so beautiful be so dangerous?" the boys quiet down and think about what i said, "Guys you didn't need to take it to heart." I laugh.

"You're right though." Cap says. And he throws a twig in the flames. "It is something so beautiful, yet dangerous." His eyes drift off into the flames. Man how did i be the one to ruin the good mood.
