We all sat around the fire and chatted, everyone seemed interested in me since I was the new kid. We talked for what seemed to be hours, Pearl seemed the most interested. It started getting cold out and everyone had a jacket except for me. I hugged my legs, I didn't know it would get so cold at night here, especially because it was so hot during the day. Everyone started having a conversation with the person next to them. I saw some new people that I haven't seen before, probably because they aren't my roommates. Apparently this is a boys and girls camp but everyone gets along so well except for Lars and Sadie but its mostly Lars just being a jerk to her. I guess they keeps the boys are girls separated well.

So many things happened today that it kinda felt like it was two separate days. I felt like I have know Pearl forever, it seemed like we were best friends. Though I didn't know if she was dating someone or if she is even into girls. She's so damn adorable that it would be crazy if she wasn't taken. Pearl looked at me and noticed I was hugging my legs "Are you cold?" she asked. "I'm fine." I stuttered and looked at her. Pearl sat closer to me and smiled "It's obvious that you're cold." She put her arms around me and pulled me onto her lap, she was laying down now but held herself up with her hands. We both blushed, I felt like this was bold move. Normally if someone's cold you give them your jacket but this actually felt nice but awkward and at the same time comfortable. I laid my head on her and closed my eyes and drifted asleep.

I woke up about an hour later in a dazed. The fire was just about out but I could see pretty well surprisingly. Pearl was poking me, I looked around me and everyone else was gone. I was just lying completely on Pearl on the ground now, I was surprised she didn't push me off. I turned over, lifted myself up a bit and stared down at her. I was so tired that I had no idea what I was doing. She blushed and laughed a bit "W-What are you doing Amethyst?" She asked me. If I didn't know better I would have thought she wanted me to kiss her. She looked so fucking cute right now. Thoughts went through my head, all the 'what if's'. I think i'm going crazy, i've known her for less than a day and I already wanted to kiss her. I pushed myself up and stood on my feet, Pearl stood up and turned on her flashlight. We started to walk back, "Are you okay?" Pearl asked me. "Yeah." I said. 

We got to the cabin and I layed down on my bed and Pearl climbed up to her bed.

"Good night Pearl."

"Good night Amethyst."

We both fell asleep.
