Pearl and I were walking to the camp fire together. Pearl looked over at me and opened her mouth, it seemed like she wanted to say something. I looked at her "What." I said. She looked away and blushed, I grabbed her hand and we continued walking.
The had sun already set and it was dark out now. We got to the campfire, everyone from our cabin was sitting down and chatting. We quickly stopped holding hands. I guess we both didn't want anyone else to know and anyways it wasn't official...yet.
Lapis saw us "Where were you guys hiding?!" She asked us.
"It's a secret." Pearl replied, I laughed a bit.
"You guys hid together?" Ruby said giggling a bit. Sapphire starting laughing with her and then everyone started laughing. Pearl and I started blushing. Everyone was talking all at the same time, "I bet they kissed." Peridot snorted. "I'd totally ship that." Jasper mumbled. "Get your head out of the gutters guys!!!" Connie said, then continued to laugh a bit. Lapis was laughing her ass off.
"Shut up." Pearl mumbled.
"Nothing happened! I DON'T EVEN LIKE HER! SHE MADE ME HIDE WITH HER! I DON'T LIKE HER AT ALL!" I yelled.
I don't even know why I said that. I felt like I was in a daze, the light from the fire made me feel all wonky. Everyone stopped laughing and seemed to get all serious. Everyone and everything went silent for a minute. Pearl looked at me and took a step away "You-u don't like me?" She said.
"I-I didn't mean it like that..." I took a step towards her and tried to move closer to her but she ran off into the woods.
