Who says we have to go back?

I rubbed my eyes and opened them, I saw Pearl sleeping curled up next to me, I was a bit surprised we had fallen asleep so quickly because I don't remember anything else that happened after we both said...I love you. I know it's really corny and all, but it felt... right. She seemed comfortable and I was comfortable. I tried falling back asleep but I couldn't, I sat up slowly and tried not to wake Pearl up. I crawled over to the boarded up window, unlocked it then opened it up. The sun slowly shined into the room. It looked as if it was 6am. I sighed and stared at the view of the trees and birds. I looked back at Pearl who had just woken up. She was looking at me and trying to block out the sun, the way the sun shined on her made her look like an angel, despite the drool on her face and her messed up hair. Pearl sat up and wiped off her face, she moved over to me and we stared out the window together for a while in silence. She rested her head on my shoulder and sighed "I'm sorry I ran away last night." She said. "I'm sorry I said those mean things." I replied.

Pearl sat up and looked at me "Do you think we're going to be in trouble when we get back to camp?"

"Who says we have to go back to camp?" I replied facetiously and looked at her.

Pearl and I laughed for a bit "But really..." I continued.

Pearl laughed at my childness "Amethyst, we have to go back to camp. We can't stay here forever."

"Why not? It's nice here and peaceful and we get to spend time together...away from everyone else."

"Well...we'd get in trouble."

I frowned and looked back outside. Pearl was still looking at me, she leaned in and kissed me on the cheek, I started blushing and looked at her, her face was still inches away from my face. She had this weirdly adorable look on her face; she pushed my onto the floor and started tickling me. OH MY GOD THIS IS DEFINITELY THE WEIRDEST THING THAT'S EVER HAPPENED TO ME. I bursted out laughing and started squirming around. I pushed her away and tried to make sure I didn't hurt her because when people tickle me I usually accidentally kick them in the face.

Pearl stopped and looked at me, she was laughing. "Whats so funny?" 

"I'm really ticklish." I replied and sat up.

 "Should we head back to Camp?" Pearl asked.

"Yeah, but what are we going to say happened if someone asks?" I asked Pearl.
