Chapter 8
I am just sitting in my bed trying to absorb what happened yesterday.
A Knock "Miss Almasi"
"Come in Tania"
She opened the door "Your father is waiting for you downstairs to have Breakfast"
"Tania, what it feel like to be a Demon?" I asked her
"Dear you've been a demon all your life, you just didn't know it yet" she told me in a soft voice
"Did you know since you were a kid?"
"Yes, I did. But in your case it was for your own protection" she said before leaving and closing the door.
I jumped out of bed, I put some jeans and a T-shirt
I went downstairs and sat at the dining table where father and the guys are sitting.
"Good morning" I said
"Good morning" they all replied
We ate in silent for a few minutes
"I want you to have classes every day after school to learn about us, our history and how to control your powers starting today" he told me
"Okey"
"Mrs Tyson will be here at 5PM every day to teach you"
"So today no school" I asked hoping for the best
"Sure, but just today" father smiled at me
Yes, mental air punch.
"How do I explain to my friend about giants fallowing me around" I turned to the guys" no offense Guys"
They are trying to stifle a laugh
"Tell them the truth, they are your bodyguards because your life is in danger" my father said in a duh voice

"Jack you cheater" I yelled
He just laughed at me "You dropped the controller"
"Yeah right, because you freakin shoved me off the couch" I screamed at him
"You're just upset a girl is petting you at every game" I smirked still focusing on the game.
We were at the Game room. There is a huge TV with every Game console and all the games that I can lay my hand on. The games room was another guilty gift from my father.
The guys are cool. We played for hours stopping for a pizza lunch.
"Miss Almasi. Mrs. Tyson is here" Tania called
"See ya later guys" I ran out of the room
"Hi, Mrs.Tyson" I greeted her
"Hi, Sarah" she smiled
"Finally someone that uses MY name, let's go to my study" yes I have a study that never been used until now.
After we settled in Mrs. Tyson started to explain our history.
Demons actually were evil soulless creatures. They ate human flesh and they didn't look like humans.
Humans and Demons were killing each other, and a war started.
We lost a lot of people in both sides. Then the royals interfered stopping the war and we went to hiding. When demons stopped eating human flesh they gained souls and they chose to look like humans. They also weren't as strong. She explains the myths in each culture that followed the war.
Now eating human flesh is a Taboo and the worst crime, the punishment is immediate death.
I was speechless for a moment.
"I still have an important question" I told her
"And what is it?"
"What is exactly the difference between humans and demons?" I asked Mrs. Tyson
"That a hard question because it has many answers"
"Our bodies look the same, but what makes us demons is our ability to manipulate energy" she explained
"Energy?" I am confused
"Let's leave that for tomorrow, it's getting late"
"Fine" I huffed like a five year old. I'm upset, don't judge.

"Miss Almasi, you're going to be late for school" Tania said from outside my bedroom door.
I did sleep a bit that night but it wasn't free of nightmares. The bed feels so cozy, I don't want to go.
Sigh "I'm coming" I said
Now I'm running all over the room to get ready.
I ran downstairs to the kitchen. Tania is standing there with my mug.
"Thanks" I took a sip. Hmmm, heaven in a cup.
"Are you ready, ms" a guy said from behind me, making me jump
"What?" I turn around
Jack was standing at the door way
"Danni is waiting outside" he said his lips are twitching on one side
"Don't you dare laugh" I threaten
He smirked, the idiot smirked.
"Where is your sunglass?" he asked worried
"Why?" I asked confused
"Your eyes. You have to keep sunglasses close at all time" now I notice that he is holding his sunglasses.
I looked in the hallway mirror. Red eyes are looking back
"shit" I groaned frustrated
"Don't worry, you're too young you'll get the hang of it" he told me amusement clear in his voice
"Shut up" I said while running to get my sunglasses
