"What make us different?" I asked Mrs.Tyson
We were at the study again.
"As I said yesterday, it our ability to manipulate energy
We have stronger instinct, stronger animal side" she explained
"I don't get it" I am so confused
"Let me explain the easier animal part, our senses and reflexes are stronger. And our temper usually is not the best thing" She was looking at me pointedly
"You said it yourself, it's not my fault" I said
"Now for the energy part, we have four common energies we can control thermal energy, electric, environmental and physical"
"For thermal this could be absorbing heat or producing it"
"You mean making it cold or hot right? With Ice and fire" I said exited like a little kid
She smiled at my reaction "Yes, I'm actually good with electricity"
"How about Dad" I asked leaning forward in my chair.
"He is Arabian demons blood which is one of the oldest and strongest demons. I think he is good with both thermal and electric" she said
"We all could control all energy to some extent but everyone is more capable in one kind" she took a deep breath "Let imagine a demon capable of starting a ball of fire in his hand, most probably his control of other energy is so weak it can be unnoticeable" she said
"The physical energy has strength, faster healing and super fast reflexes. Their powers is in their own body, mostly they have less than average control of common energy"
"That's Jack and Chase, right?" I asked
"Yes, physical demons are mostly gourds"
"I think I get it. What is environmental energy?" I asked
"It's actually rare. You could control thing in nature like wind, earth and water"
"There is some legends about telekinesis" she said
"You mean moving things with your mind?" I asked amazed.
"Yes but I'm not sure if it's true"
"That would be so cool, how about my powers?"
"You're a bit different" she said
"Different?"
"We know you are stronger than most Demons, But I'm not sure how strong exactly"
"How can I tell how strong I am and what is the energy I can control" I asked
"As you get older your powers and instinct will grow"
The 'When you get older' talk again.
"About the your eyes, they change color when your animal side, your instinct is more dominant that's how you use your powers" she explained
She counted explaining when she saw my worried face "don't worry, your animal side never in total control unless you consumed human flesh"
"Yach,
"It's late, tomorrow we will start to test your powers" she smiled at me when I started clapping.
