Luna's pov "I know I'm just stuck in the fucking airport. There's not really much I can do Luna my car got delayed " I sighed "okay where are you?" Milo responded almost instantly "Cambridge? It's like an hour away from London" "okay how long has your flight been delayed?" "A few hours" I sighed deeply "okay well what if we just came and got you? I'm sure Maddie wouldn't mind" I heard him sigh "I know she wouldn't but it's her birthday I want her to enjoy it" I laughed humorlessly "she won't enjoy it unless you're here. I'll go tell her we'll be there soon".
I walked out my hotel room and walked a few doors down to Maddie's. I knocked on her door and she opened it almost immediately "wanna go with me to Cambridge and pick up your boyfriend?" She furrowed her brows "why is he in Cambridge?" She asked me walking back into her room coming back out with a jacket and car keys. I shrugged as we walked "Cambridge was the closet he could get by flight on such short notice and I guess his uber I ordered glitched or something I don't know come on so we can make it back in time for your party".

When we got back to the hotel Luna and Milo left me claiming they'd be back later and to be ready by 8 which annoyed me but I was also very intrigued by what they had planned. We had been so busy during the time of Milo's birthday we only went to dinner and I felt awful but him throwing this party for me or whatever it is, just makes me feel even worse. I paced around for most of the night, scrolled through TikTok on my private before finally deeming it late enough to start getting ready.
When I finished Milo was already waiting for me yapping about not being ready so he offered to take some pictures of me as the sun began setting. "You know you don't have to do this" Milo shrugged "I want pictures of you besides you look beautiful. I really love the color you added to your bob" I rolled my eyes at him as I began to pose.
"Wait turn a little more I'm gonna get on my knees" I laughed at Milo as the camera flashed "if you made me looked trashy in that picture i promise we're breaking up" Milo stood up and walked over to me "girl I would never do you dirty" he showed me the picture of me laughing as I was running "hm okay good job" Milo looked down at me and smiled as leaned down to kiss me "I love you Madeline, happy birthday" I smiled and his phone buzzed "your party is ready, shall we go?" I nodded and he grabbed my hand pulling me along.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADELINE" I couldn't see anything but still I smiled at the darkness just before the lights were flicked on "sorry guys I was late" Luna said walking over to hug me. "Okay my turn!" Amelia threw Luna back jokingly and squeezed me tightly "happy birthday babydoll!" She kissed my cheek and Macy grabbed me next "let's drink until we pass out" I laughed but she pulled me along.
