His Lost Heartbeat

Chapter 25

Anirudh- Bondita.

Everything get stilled for him, his mind getting numb .Even his heartbeat, his breath had halted.

Before he could process anything,he felt her pulling the blouse with force, covering her shoulder. He looked up at her , his eyes meeting with hers which was filled with disbelief before it gets closed. Her body collapsed .

"Bondita" Word  escaped from his mouth as he held her arms pulling her body towards him , making her lean on his body

He heard loud thud sound of door falling down on the floor. From another side , Som walked inside ,his eyes judging the situation. Without wasting a second ,he rushed towards Anirudh and Aadhya.

"Dada ?" He called , looking at Anirudh who was looking at Aadhya in stupified state .

"Saap ..Saap ..." He couldn't spoke. His tongue refused to roll further. Though his broken words was enough to understand the situation. Doctor in him came into action as he checked her eyes and pulses.

Meanwhile Anirudh kept looking from Aadhya to Som like a lost clueless man who was unable to understand anything.

"Zehar faila nhi hai. Phir bhi ek baar proper check up karna padega. Haspatal Dur padega. Inhe ghar hi le chalte hai" Som suggested.

Without wasting another second, Anirudh picked her up in his arms. Her head rested on his chest near his heart . Her hair scattered on her face while her hands swayed with his each stride.

He lay her on the back seat and sat beside her, putting her head on his laps. He felt vehicle vibration with start of engine but his eyes refused to look away from her face too afraid to blink. What if she vanishes ? What if it is one of his dreams? What if it is his mind playing tricks?

"Dada pahuch gaye" He heard Som's voice and looked up from her face, absorbing and processing the surrounding. Coming out from the vehicle,he again picked her up in his arms and walked inside the house , with Som following behind him.

Som turned towards the little dispensary that he had opened in his house for emergency situations , hoping Anirudh to follow but his legs stopped when he saw him heading straight. His eyes followed him for a few seconds before he realised that Anirudh was walking towards his room, room in which he rarely entered after departure of Bondita. He had made Bondita's room as its own from the day they bid adieu to her on port .

Shrugging off the weirdness of the situation, Som entered into his dispensary fetching important medical items. He met Trilochan and Binoy in way of Anirudh's room.

Three of them headed towards Anirudh's room. Their legs halted for a few seconds at threshold when their eyes fell on Anirudh sitting on the ground, holding Aadhya's hand in determined grip , staring her without blinking.

They exchanged their looks. Soon gravity of the bring them into reality. Som rushed forward stepping up in his role of doctor.

"Saap ne kaha kata hai?" Som asked putting on his stethoscope.

"Kandhe per" He spoke. His voice barely above whisper

Som looked at the elder of the family. Understanding the situation they left except Anirudh.

"Dada, jagah dekhna hoga" Som spoke indirectly hinting him to go. As a doctor,he had to forget hesitation but presence of someone else except her family member while treatment was unacceptable.

However instead of taking the hint , Anirudh pulled the blanket till her neck before sliding down the blouse, revealing only the part of skin that need treatment.

Though Som felt weird, he didn't comment anything and proceeded with his treatment.All the time Anirudh kept sitting in the same position,his eyes travelling from Som to Bondita.
