It was the night before Lando had to head off to resume racing after the break, and we were making sure to savor every moment we had together.
Both our flights were set at the same time but to different destinations, so we had until then.
At the moment, we were sitting on Charles's boat—somehow, every single person from the group chat had made it—and we were having an incredible time.
It was around 5 p.m., and the sun was starting to set, making the air feel a bit chilly as I cuddled up to Lando's side.
We were all in the lounge, drinking and chatting, laughing about all kinds of dumb stuff and hot takes.
"I'm bored," Danny Ric says, letting out a long sigh. "Let's play a game!"
"What are we, middle schoolers?" I joke, getting a laugh from the group.
"Wife, are you fighting me?" he asks teasingly.
"Of course not, hubby. I was only joking—I'd never disagree with you," I reply, laughing.
"Is this joke ever going to end?" Lando asks, feigning annoyance, or at least I thought.
"What joke?" Danny and I say at the same time.
Lando lets out a dramatic groan as we all burst into laughter again, eventually deciding on a quick game of truth or dare—except only truths this time.
"Yay, I'll start!" Danny exclaims excitedly, like a little kid. "Isa, how many relationships have you had?"
"Before Lando? Only one," I say, surprising a few people. "Alex, do you like Charles's fashion choices?" I ask, glancing at Charles's girlfriend.
"Uhm..." she mumbles, her face turning red.
"Are you serious?" Charles asks, clearly shocked.
"Babe, I love you—but you know I'm really into fashion, and sometimes I just think your outfits could use a little help," she says softly.
"Wow. I feel so betrayed," he jokes, shaking his head, which earns another round of laughter from the group.
"I'm sorry, Charles!" she laughs. "Anyway... Max, how long have you been crushing on Lina?"
"Funny enough, I'd actually been following Lina since before we met Isa," Max says. "A mutual friend of ours posted a story with her in it, and I thought she was cute—so maybe for about a year before we actually met."
The girls all let out a collective aww, while Lina, her face bright red, hides in Max's shoulder. The guys cheer and pat him on the back, clearly impressed.
