The following morning was a hard one to wake up, however, I persevered, knowing I had to get to Lina's apartment soon so we could watch the race.

Last night as I succumbed to my slumber, I had decided that I wouldn't be reaching out or texting lando unless he texted first. I know he's busy, but if he was able to view my message, he was more than capable enough of sending a simple thank you, ignoring the fact that the guys had more than enough to reply and even have conversations.

Max had also messaged me before bed to let me know Lando had replied to his messages and to be on the lookout, so the fact that I didn't get a reply but also left on read was more than enough to cause some frustration to circle through my veins.

I got ready for the day and dressed into my new George Russell merch he exclusively sent me, and a pair of low rise grey jeans. I tucked in a side of the shirt into the bra, and grabbed a white knitted sweater, tying it over my shoulders. I then grabbed my Zadig and Voltaire clutch and after doing a few more necessities I got in my car and made my way over to Lina's.

I picked up Connie on the way, who had asked for a ride, and we decided to stop to get some brunch to share with Lina and Max.

After picking up a few things, we arrived at Lina's and hurried to get settled as the race was about to begin.

David Croft's "It's lights out and away we go!" rang out the TV as the cars quickly began to follow one another into the corners.

The race had been fairly calm, not much happening despite Max, Lando, and Checo all over taking Hamilton unfortunately for me. However, Lando had driven beautifully.

"He honestly drove one of his best races today." says Max, I'm sure he and the guys are going to go out after that one.

"That's nice." I mumble.

"Does that bother you? You don't sound too happy." says Max, turning to look at me after my response.

"No, he just never responded last night, he left me on read though so I don't particularly want to talk to him. And I know you and everyone else said he'd be busy, but he had enough time to respond to you, no offense, but he also had the time to read my message, and I don't think sending a simple thank you is that hard." I explain, rolling my eyes.

"Oh, that's really weird. He called me last night before bed saying that your message really made him smile." he says, confused.

"Here, look." I say handing him the open phone with the messages on display. I grabbed some of our trash and dishes, helping Lina clean up a little since she'd be leaving soon to go to work.
