After a few short days of mainly just chilling around Lando's house and taking it easy, it was the day we were heading over to Italy to visit my family.
Max had dropped us off at the airport earlier in the day at around 6 am since our flight was at 7 am, and after a short almost three-hour flight, we had arrived and were picking up our luggage from the luggage claim.
"I'm exhausted." grumbled a sleepy Lando as he laid his head on my shoulder.
I let out a little giggle as I brought my hand up and played with his curls. He clearly wasn't on the lookout for our stuff, so I watched intently as the wheel spun, pulling away from him to grab one of our bags as it appeared.
"Nooo." He groaned when I pulled away, looking like a little boy as he awkwardly stands with our carry on's while I slightly struggle to pull my exceedingly heavy luggage off the wheel.
Once our other bag appeared, I grabbed it and then pulled the two over to where he stood. We switched bags, him claiming since he was the man he had to take the heavier ones, and we made our way out of the airport where my brother was waiting for us.
"Ale!" I basically yell once I spot him, running up and jumping on him. He wraps his arms around me in a tight hug for a minute or so before putting me down.
"I missed you so much Kiki." he says, messing up my hair which makes me quickly start to pat my hair.
"Hey man nice to meet you." says my brother to Lando, offering him a hand which Lando shakes.
"It's nice to meet you too, I'm Lando." he replies.
"I know who you are, it's sort of hard not to around here." he jokes, opening the truck of his 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
After everything's sorted, I get into the front seat, leaving Lando in the back since I knew it would've been incredibly awkward if the two were sat in the front and my brother only talked about how much better Ferrari is than McLaren.
"Are you happy with how the season has been so far?" my brother asks him.
"Yea, it's been fun but also a lot trying to get used to a new teammate, and a rookie nonetheless who you have to sort of teach how to deal with everything." he explains.
