"triple threat, bailey jackson has many regional credits that include lucy in 13 the musical (shawnee mission theater in the park), martha cratchit in a christmas carol (kansas city reperatory theater), and bandit and understudy for katharine in newsies (papermill playhouse), but she has even more broadway and national tour credits. these credits include the fifth national tour of gypsy as baby louise, the seventh national tour of the sound of music as briggita von trapp, annie on broadway as tessie, big fish on broadway as young jenny hill, and most recently the national tour and broadway musical of newsies as bandit!

jackson will begin performances at the dr phillips center in the first national tour of newsies as bandit on january 27th, 2015.

hi bailey! welcome to orlando!"

"hi, thank you so much! this is actually my first time in orlando, so I'm excited to be here. we were talking about this on the bus that even through all the national tours i've been on, none of them have ever gone to orlando."

"speaking of national tours, we have a rumor to put to rest. is it true that two of your castmates and you were in the gypsy tour together in 2004?"

"yes, this is true. zachary sayle who plays crutchie and daisy garcia who is a swing were both in gypsy with me."

"okay, that's so fun. let's get back to some questions about your experience in newsies. so you were born in 1994 which was two years after the film newsies came out. can you put all of this into perspective for me, how you feel about that and how you felt about the film as a kid. did you ever think that someday you would be in the broadway musical, let alone the national tour?"

"honestly, no, i didn't. in the film the only female role is sarah, david's sister, and to be honest i love the actor but i hated the character. ele keats is an amazing actress, but i absolutely hated sarah."

"okay, that's a fair point. alright, so what was your audition process like?"

"i actually auditioned because i heard about it from brendon stimson, who played one of the delancey brothers on broadway and at papermill, they were having like three, i think, new female characters which i thought was so cool. i was in big fish at the time, and when bren told me about the hadn't lowered the age yet. it was still eighteen for a month or two, but then they lowered the age to sixteen so i called my agent, love you mac, and was like i want to audition.
