chapter six: the week before leaving part two

tuesday evening

"hey jackson five fans, bailey here," bailey had set up the camera in the living room of her's and brody's apartment to do a q and a slash pack with us for tour video for the youtube channel they shared with bennett, brinley, and bryce (brinley's twin). brody found it hilarious that bailey had sat the camera up on a stool with it leaning against her water bottle.

"and brody," brody sat down next to his sister, "today me and bailey are answering your questions on twitter along with packing for tour."

"we leave on the newsies first national tour in five days. we just got home from rehearsal for today so let's start packing," bailey explained to the camera, "before we get to far into this to any new viewers, hi i'm bailey jackson and this is my younger brother brody-"

"hey guys."

"we have thirteen siblings and we share this youtube channel with three of them," bailey explained, "bennett is the oldest and he is currently playing nick massi in jersey boys on broadway. he is 23."

"bailey and i are next," brody continued the introduction of the chaotic jackson family, "i'm 15, she turns 20 in two days actually. we are both in newsies currently. we were in the broadway production and now we are going on tour."

"brinley and bryce are next, they are 12 year old twins and they also share this channel with us and bennett," brinley explained the next few kids, "blake, banks, brooklyn, briggs, and bodhi are who we like to call the quints. blake is 11, banks is 10, brooklyn is 9, briggs is 8, and bodhi is 7. bronwyn is next and she is 5."

"beckham and brogan are our other sets of twins," brody took the youngest two, "they are four."

"alright," bailey started off the q and a by looking at questions on twitter that the fansies tagged her and brody in, "our first question is from lilly, she says how much stuff can you bring on tour?"

"that's a good question," brody commented.

"so for our tour," bailey picked up the camera to show them the luggage of the two siblings, "we all have this locker thing called a trunk and we are allowed to take one checked bag, once carry on, and a personal item," bailey showed her trunk, her purple suitcase, her purple duffle, and her purple backpack, before putting the camera back on the stool against the water bottle, "so whatever we can fit in those four things, we can bring."

"it involves a big game of tetris for some people every week," brody added as his sister sat back down on the floor, "next question is from kinley, what is your favorite song to perform in newsies?"

"definitely the 'king of new york' playoff," bailey answered before getting up to grab her shoes and put them in her suitcase.

"i really like 'brooklyn's here'," brody gave his answer before adding his pile of hats to his suitcase.

"brody," bailey sighed.

"what? i like hats!"

wednesday

today was josh's birthday which meant ben, sky, the siblings, and dan all went out to breakfast for his birthday. breakfast instead of dinner, so he could fly home for the next two days since the toursies finished rehearsal two days before. for bailey, it was hard to believe that even though she saw josh as a younger brother, he's only two years younger than her and two years older than brody.

bailey's twentieth birthday!

"bailey!" brody yelled from the living room as his sister got ready to go, "hurry up!"

"i'm coming!" brody and her, along with adam, brendon, corey, daisy, and bennett, were going to see mike faist in dear evan hansen on broadway tonight for bailey's birthday.

"you ready yet?" brody asked.

"shut up."
