Last of Us Season 2 Ep 1 & 2 Reaction and Critique

Hi!

Soooo....yeah, originally I wasn't even gonna watch this show as I wasn't really the fan of season 1, if you haven't read my thoughts on the show I'd suggested you read that to understand why I didn't really care for this adaptation.

However, curiosity was killing the cat as I was just so interested in how they were gonna adapt the story of pt2, which I have also wrote a review go and read that too. But basically I'm not a fan of the story of pt2 but I did enjoy the gameplay and combat of the game, so I'm more in the middle of the sequel.

I'm also not alone in watching this show, my friend Slinky has joined me as we watched season 1 together. She is the one that hates pt2 a bit more than me and she also wasn't a fan of the show's version of Last of Us 1.

The only way we would've watched season 2 was if we did a reaction commentary of the show of us basically roasting the show or giving snarky comments. We've always wanted to do a podcast together of us just giving our thoughts and critiques of fandom or things we like.

Unfortunately, we don't have the equipment nor have the money to get said equipment to do something like that. So the next best thing we could think of was write it as a transcript.

So we watched the two episodes that are already out and we will upload a chapter for each episode after they come out. We've tried to write down everything we've said and we also wrote down our criticism of each episode. I hope you guys enjoy this!

Here is our reactions to certain moments in Episode 1

Seeing Abby for the first time

RJ: She's so tiny.

Slinky: I feel like I can put her in my pocket.

Abby describing Joel from what the nurses said, including that he's handsome

Slinky: We're the doctors like, "sorry he killed your dad but God he was handsome."

RJ: *laughs* "he put a hole in your dad but damn did he look good doing it!"

Ellie "winning" her hand to hand combat to man who's ten times bigger than her

Ellie: Boom motherfucker

RJ: Oh shut the hell up

Slinky: She looks like a munchkin.

RJ: *snickers*

Joel asking Dina what she's supposed to do with wires in the device he's working on

Dina: I lick them?

Slinky: Do you want to get cancer?

RJ: *laughs* Do you want to get shock?

Joel pouring his heart out to Dina

Joel: I know I'm a hard-ass and overprotective

Slinky: You're a hard-ass? When?!

RJ: *laughs* Yeah, when? Your game counterpart was, yeah
