You're not real and I can't pretend

Yet you're here, standing before me

Like a memory that never fades away

Please don't make me go through this again

Please don't make this real become untrue once more

Just please tell me

For a story whose ending has been ripped away by my hands

Just who are you?

"-And so, the young hero –supported by his newly made friends and former foes– finally defeated the big bad monster, and saved everyone in his village, earning his well-deserved happy ending. The end," Seele softly spoke, a gentle smile on her face as she sat next to the bed. Her dark blue eyes stared at the small picture book in her arms, her palm gently resting on the soft pages before moving to the side as she closed it.

Turning her sight to the bed, she saw a young girl with her eyes softly closed, her breathing slow and gentle as she finally fell into a peaceful slumber. Her short, snow-white hair stood out amongst the purple-colored bed as it gently swayed with the rhythm of her slowly rising chest, before falling back in a repeated pattern.

Seele smiled softly at the sleeping girl, before carefully placing the book back on the small table behind her as she stood up.

Turning the doorknob quietly so as to not wake the girl, Seele then gave the girl one last glance.

"Good night, Shirogi,' she whispered, before finally closing the door behind her.

Seele let herself heave a sigh, her shoulders relaxing as she leaned her head against the door frame for a moment, and closed her eyes.

She wasn't really tired, at least, not as tired as one would be this late in the night. She wasn't tired when she had to prepare the food for everyone in the orphanage, and manage everything else around the house from morning to dusk. It was something she was once prone to do every day.

What was beginning to weigh on her mind however, was the thought of the twins, or rather, the only people who were responsible for taking care of these children when she wasn't able to.

No...that wasn't right.

Seele didn't want to. She never felt like doing anything for the longest time. It was simply just a fact, one that found Seele opening her eyes once more with a conflicted gleam within them.

Eventually, the girl pushed herself off from the door frame, and began walking down the long narrow hallway of her home, one that was still unfamiliar to her even after moving to for a long time now.

Occasionally passing by a door or two, she would pause for a brief moment in silence, as if listening to any noise that might be coming from the kids living inside each room. And when she heard nothing, she continued walking down the hall, simply content to know that they were all sound asleep, before turning a corner.

When she did, something immediately came into her view, her eyes instinctively fell upon it.

It was another door, although instead of the repeated brownish color that stained every door she had passed, this one was painted blue. There was a small sign at the top of the frame, one that Seele can just barely make out the words to.
