"Bye Mum!" I shout, as I wave goodbye.
She waves back with tears in her eyes. I laugh and shake my head. I'm only going to be gone for the summer and she's acting as if I'm never coming back. I walk through the terminal and check my bag in before then proceeding to find my gate. Once I have found it, I take a seat and wait. As per usual I have to wait for about half an hour before an announcement comes over the speaker saying we shall board the plane in ten minutes. I like to be early and punctual, I can't ever handle rushing and being late; it's just not me.

As I sit I start to hear squeals from other girls, and I look over to see a group of girls surrounding someone. I try to make out who it is, but I can't see through all of the squealing and shouting girls. I brush it off; probably just some stuck up celebrity.

"Flight to Sydney, Gate 3 is now boarding." I stand up and grab my backpack, and pull out my ticket. I then head over to get my ticket scanned; the flight attendant smiling at me before scanning my ticket. I then head down and into the plane.

I absolutely love traveling, going new places, seeing new things, and I don't even mind the flying. But the one thing I hate about travelling alone is the people you get stuck sitting next to. When booking my ticket though, I made sure to score a window seat, so at least it will only be one stranger I have to sit next to.

I pull out my phone and headphones, and shove the rest of my backpack into the overhead locker. I take my seat next to the window, do up my seatbelt, and shove my headphones in. I play my music on shuffle, and smile when one of my favourite songs American Idiot by Greenday plays. I look out the window and wait for everyone to board. I don't even glance up as the person takes a seat next to me. "Please fasten your seat belts as we are about to take off." The plane starts moving and we take off.

I feel a tap on my shoulder. Ugh not one of these strangers trying to make conversation. I pull out my headphones, to see none other than Luke Hemmings.
