"So you're Grant's girlfriend?" Tom asked from across the table.
"Um-" Grant cut me off by squeezing my hand with his.
"Not yet dad" Grant smiled at me causing my cheeks to flush.
We sat in silence for a while as we ate. And I would just like to point out that this lasagna tasted like heaven.
"So she's all yours hey?" Tyler grinned looking at me. "She's beautiful" He grinned.
I blushed and shot him a smile. Grant looked at me and leaned towards my ear and whispered "aw, is wittle Eleanor shy?"
"Shut it, Thomas. " I say through gritted teeth.
He scowls down at me and kicks me. "Don't you start calling me that, it's bad enough that my mum calls me that."
"I do what I want" I say in an amusing tone, immaturely.
"What are you 5?" He scoffed.
"A lot older than you" I smugly reply.
"You've got a maturity of a toddler, so I don't see how that's possible" he teased.
"Need I remind you of your actions in the past?" I sneer, raising my eyebrow.
"Can you not?" He tries to mimic my voice and accent and I gasp, nudging him as he still has his hand in mines.
"I do not sound like that!" I defended myself.
"You're right you sound more high pitched" he nods and clears his tristan's so he can mimic my voice again, but stops when we hear snickering.
We turn our face away from each other to find the whole family staring at us in amusement. I blush and mentally face palm myself. Grant and I just can't help ourselves. We have to argue till one of us wins.
"You two are adorable" Gracie grins.
I blush even more as I finish off my food.
"Hey guess what I just noticed?" Grant perks up.
"What?" Tyler asked as everyone looks at him.
"Everyone on this table wears glasses and contacts" he laughed.
"Incorrect, your father and your brother doesn't wear glasses" I laughed at his stupidity.
"Damn it I thought I had it" he laughed.
"So Eleanor, how old are you?" Tina asked.
"I'm 22" I reply with a grin.
"Oh so you're legal to drink?" She smiled.
"I've been legal to drink in the UK since I've been 18" I laughed.
"Do you get drunk often?" She asked.
"Mum!" Grant groaned. Tina shushed him as she stared at me.
"As in wasted to the point I can never remember what happened, that's happened into twice I believe, but I have a few drinks here and there. Definitely not often." I chuckle at her.
"So I hear that you and Grant now work along side each other" Tom grinned.
"Uh yes, we both got promoted to full time journalists" I grinned.
"Have you always wanted to become a journalist?" Tyler asked as he looked intrigued with my life.
"Growing up I've always wanted different jobs, from princess to teacher to doctors. But I actually never thought of becoming a journalist, my intentions throughout secondary school was to become a boxer, but that didn't turn out to be how I wanted. So I went along with journalism " I smiled.
"Boxer? Oh damn" Tyler placed a hand on his chest breathing heavily.
"Dude she's mine" Grant hugged me from the side.
