Shadow WIP?

Okay, I started this last month and have been putting it off for a bit now. I just got back to it and realized something. It's been a few years since I've drawn Mobians. I nailed the spines last year when I drew Uni cosplaying Shadow. Yesterday, I struggled so much getting them correct at this scale using this style. I still think I could've done better with his face and head but, I didn't wanna take too long on them. Now, I have to draw and detail the rest of him.

Also, Shadow won't be the only one in this piece. I can only hope I can draw another Mobian as good as Shadow or even better than Shadow. I say this because I haven't drawn Mobians since 2022 or 2021. That was when I tried turning Uniqua and Mettaton into Mobians. Keep in mind I was working with characters that aren't hedgehogs so, I just picked ones that were either obvious or fitting.

Anyway, I think this serves as evidence that I don't draw Mobians enough. Back in middle school, I used to draw art of my Sonic OC more and I kinda fell off that and started drawing abstract designs. Then, Undertale happened and I wanted to make an OC for that to help perfect how I draw humanoid characters. Toby, thank you for giving us the most human-like robot known to man. He has helped me get better at drawing humans and men in general.

Now, I'm on the fence here. A lot of big franchises and fandoms are connected. Toby himself has confirmed that Undertale is part of the world of Earthbound/Mother and Sonic has had a small crossover with TMNT in the Archie comic line. I've even seen MLP and Transformers crossover comics that are, in fact, official. TMNT, Star Wars, and Sonic have all done crossover toys with Transformers at this point. I could go on and on about official/canon crossovers here but, what I'm trying to say is that all these worlds that we grew up thinking were their own separate universes are actually connected and coexist. This means crossover fanwork isn't too far off from what's canon. Just because we never see them in official content doesn't mean it's not possible. Meaning, Mettaton, Rouge, and Rarity could realistically all sit down and exchange beauty hacks over coffee or tea.

Aight, I gotta get back to drawing this. I'll just leave this WIP here.
