I walked into the bar, glancing around at the new furniture. Not much had changed since the 1900s, just a few mouldy chairs and couches swapped out over time.
Marcel wasn't around yet, so I made my way to the bar to order a drink.
The nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks. I used to come here all the time. I remembered dancing on the bar, taking shots with friends. Now? I felt too old for any of that.
A familiar voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
"The usual?"
I smiled at the big, friendly grin on her face. Cami and I were the kind of friends who could go months without talking and still pick up right where we left off.
"You know me so well, Cams."
She laughed and went to make my drink. When she returned we talked about what's been going on. She forced me to open up about what's been going on, classic therapist mode, like always. Cami, I've told you about being burnt alive, Davina, and half my trauma file. I should be paying you, it's been, what, half an hour?"
The other blonde shook her head and waved me off. "Please if i got a dollar for every time i got a friend to open up to me i would be a bad friend." I laughed, maybe a little too much. But she was definitely over-pouring the liquor, so I'll blame that
"So this girl, Caroline right?"
"Yeah what about her?"
"Got a photo?" I stared at her, trying to process the teasing before pulling out my phone."Here you go."
Cami took the phone out of my hands looking at Caroline closely before a smile washed across my face.
"You missed me so much you replaced me for another blonde I see." Her tone was light and teasing. I scoffed while holding back laughter as i took my phone back.
"its not like that cams" I saw Marcel walk in and come over to us.
"Hey Cami" Marcel said happily. Cami's head snapped over to Marcel.
"Oh hey Marcel want a drink?" Marcel nodded as his eyes followed her as she walked away.
I gasped dramatically Marcel glanced at me trying to hide his smile. "You like her don't you!" Marcel covered my mouth. His eyes widened and he let go once i started just laughing.
"You do have a thing for blondes." Marcel tapped the table. "Aurora. If its wired that i like Cami because of Rebekah then-"
"Marcel stop. I don't care about that. What you and Rebekah had, it was magical yes. I know you loved her this doesn't change the past Marcel, but Rebekah and you haven't seen each other in 90 ish years. You allowed to move on Marcie."
He gave me a look at the name i called him, "Thanks sleeping beauty." I laughed and rubbed my eyes.
"Okay okay smart ass." I looked on my phone and noticed a text from someone unknown, it read.
"Davinas in trouble meet us here or she dies. Tell Marcel she dies. Tell anyone she dies. Do not test me Aurora Mikaelson." I got up putting my phone in my pocket. I stumbled slightly from the alchole. Marcel followed me up.
"Woah woah slow down Rory, where are you going in such a hurry" Marcel held onto my arms to steady me.
"I'll be back a bit later i gotta go Ash just texted its a emergency." I lied through my teeth not wanting anything to happen to Davina. Marcel accepted the answer he never pushed to much thats one thing i liked about him.
