"You should have been there the time I found a book in the wrong spot in the library. Then, I started to think every book in the library was not in the right place! I spent weeks making sure all the books were in the right place. It is my duty as a fellow scroll to do that task." the scroll droned on.
I groaned. Sabrina sighed.
Maybe it wasn't the best idea to have brought this annoying beast along I thought.
"Do you have anything useful or exciting to actually talk about?" I pleaded.
The scroll looked insulted.
"For your information young lady that was an exciting tale. That's a real life excitement. Not some fake made up excitement like knights and princesses." the scroll argued.
"Whatever." I sighed.
"The nerve of the youth of the sea today." he muttered.
"You okay Sabrina?" I asked ignoring the scroll.
"Yeah. Maybe we should take a break. I am just a little tired from swimming through this passageway for a long time." confessed Sabrina.
I looked around. We were still stuck in the dimly lit passageway. The walls made of rough stone and sand floors.
"Scroll, I thought you said this would be an easy quick way out." I accused.
"I said none of the sort." the scroll broke the news. "I said you go down the passage and you will be out of the library. I never said it would be quick and easy."
I groaned.
"Then in that case Sabrina maybe we should take a break." I decided.
Sabrina sighed in relief.
"I can finally rest my legs." breathed Sabrina.
We sat down on the rough, itchy sand and got out some of the food blocks.
I thought about our adventure so far as I chomped on my food blocks. We have gain nothing. Only lost everything. We abandoned Amya to fend for herself. Mako stormed off in anger, because of me. Sabrina and I accidently killed a man. The only thing we have gained though is an annoying know it all scroll. He isn't as useful as I thought though.
I sighed.
"What's wrong?" asked Sabrina.
"This quest is an disaster. We have gain nothing. Only lost everything. We abandoned Amya to fend for herself. Mako stormed off in anger, because of me. You and I accidently killed a man. The only thing we have gained though is an annoying know it all scroll. He isn't as useful as I thought though." I confessed.
"I resent that!" yelled the scroll.
I snorted.
"No one told us it would be easy." Sabrina sighed. "Remember that time I suggested that we turn back and let the adults take care of this problem?"
"Yeah." I replied.
"Well you said it would be right to turn back now and now is no different." reasoned Sabrina.
"I guess." I admitted.
"Then, we have to keep moving forward. Mako and Amya are idiots. Thinking they can do anything. That just proves that they are made for each other. Plus, us kicking that pirate didn't do him in. It was his stupid idea to kidnap me that go him falling down into a chasm. That's what killed him." Sabrina inspired.
"You're right." I agreed less depressed.
"Yeah I am! These people created their own bad luck by trying to interfere with us and having their stupid ideas!" Sabrina exclaimed.
