Boom!

I landed hard on my butt. My head was spinning and I couldn't seem to focus.

Where am I, I wondered

I tried crawling, but my arms kept collapsing causing me to tip over.

"This is getting ridiculous." I mumbled.

My face was pressed against the floor. My whole body was tangled up. I tried focusing by squinting.

"What's that?" I muttered.

I untangled myself and this time I tried dragging myself.

These are not my best days I thought.

I go towards the thing I thought I saw.

Why do these things happen to me I wondered.

I gradually move towards it. Once in a while I have to squint again to see if I am going the right way.

"Almost there." I sighed.

My arms were killing me. Seriously! How many people have to drag themselves I roared inside.

Thump!

"Ow! Really?!" I cried.

I moved my hands across the thing that I bumped into.

"I feel as blind as a bat." I angrily muttered.

The surface felt smooth, but cracks spread randomly across the surface. I moved my hands up more. I went on my knees to get a better idea of it.

"Watch it!" grumbled a voice.

I fell back in surprise.

"What the?!" I exclaimed.

I sat back up.

"I'm not a what, I am a whom." the voice huffed.

"Well I can't see!" I yelled.

"That can be fixed." he decided.

Zip!

I fell back again. I opened my eyes to see I could see! I looked up at the "whom" to see it was a talking statue. He was only a chiseled head on a pedestal.

"A statue?!" I cried.

"Have a problem with that?" snapped the statue. "The name is Rune by the way."

"Okay, Rune, why am I here?" I questioned.

"The question you should be asking is what I am doing here." he countered.

I thought about the question he asked. I recalled what I said before I came here.

"You are here to tell me the truth." I concluded.

"So what would you like to know the truth about?" Rune asked.

"How to awake from my dream I am in." I decided.

"The answer to your question is to wear the necklace to bed. The necklace as some as the power of the trident, so you will be able to harness the power to wake up. Falling asleep will be like waking up from the dream, but in another place." Rune explained.

I nodded along.

That makes sense I guess I thought.

I looked around expecting something to happen.

"How do I get back to the dream though?" I noticed turning back to him.

"That's easy." he told me.

He nodded then zip!

I was speeding through the place. Everything was a flash through space.

Bam!

My head rolled back then forward again. I shook my head to wake myself up. I looked around to discover I was back in my room in my wheelchair.

That was surprisingly easy I thought.

I looked at the desk in front of me. On it was the trident necklace.

Who was too know how much power you held I wondered. Especially to find it in my hollow fake leg! What time is it by the way?

My eyes roamed my room for my alarm clock.

"Ah!" I exclaimed.

I wheeled over to the clock and looked at the time.

"Eight fifteen huh?" I mumbled.

I don't feel that tired. What to do I wondered.

"Guess I will just have to try." I decided.

And I am doing it again I thought.

I moved towards my bed and slowly moved onto it.

"Yes!" I cried.

I landed on the bed and did not have an accident.

"I forgot the necklace!" I groaned.

I carefully lowered myself onto the wheelchair and rolled over to the desk again. I grabbed the necklace and wheeled back to my bed. I plopped myself onto the bed.

"Finally." I sighed.

I clipped the necklace around my neck then lied down.

"What will tomorrow hold?" I wondered out loud.
