I need to get out, but how I wondered.

I sat on my bed wondering that exact question. I have been thinking about it a lot and I think this all may be a dream.

I really hope this is a dream I hoped.

I sighed.

This is so annoying that I can't pace. The Black Demon must have mulipitated this dream, so I wouldn't be able to find a way out I concluded. And the only way was to make me lose a leg. I have to have help to get dressed now thanks to him!

"Argh!" I yelled.

I quickly covered my mouth with my hand.

I really need to stop speaking my anger out loud I thought.

I waited for my parents to come in.

Typical. Must be to much in the business zone I thought.

I sighed in relief.

I'm sick of this. I'm going to get out of here I decided in my mind.

I reached out from my bed and tried to reach for my wheelchair.

"Almost there." I said through clenched teeth.

Bam!

Thump!

"Ouch!" I gasped.

I just got a mouthful of floor. I dragged myself towards my wheelchair. I attempted to pull myself up.

"I have no muscles up here." I muttered.

My arm slacked.

"Come on Sarah. You can do it." I inspired.

This is pathetic I thought bitterly.

"This is all your fault leg." I cried.

I started pounding at my fake leg.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Creak!

I stared horrified at my fake leg.

"It's hollow?!" I whispered in shock.

My fake leg had a secret compartment in it. I reached inside and pulled out...

"A necklace?" I observed.

I looked closer at it. It had a trident pendant. I looked even closer at it.

"What's that?" I mumbled.

I brushed my fingers over the trident. There on the trident were words engraved in it. I squinted my eyes to see the inscription.

"Who would ever write that small?!" I cried. "This is impossible!"

I closed the compartment back up.

"Only one way to find out!" I thought out loud. "I really need to stop thinking outloud."

I looked up at my wheelchair.

"Uh no." I sighed.

I looked back at the necklace and determination filled me. I put the necklace on and tried once again to get up.

And I thought this was a good choice at the time I thought.

I went on my knees and dragged myself on to it.

"I'm doing it!" I thought out loud. "I am talking out loud again!"

I pulled harder and was finally on.

I sighed in exhaustion and relief.

I turned myself around so I faced the right way.

Here I go I thought.

I wheeled myself out of my room.

I am going to need a magnifying glass I thought.

Knock, knock.

"What?" snapped my mom.

Squeak.

I wheeled myself in to see my mom glaring at me. Her face soften though when she realized it was me.

"Yes Sarah?" she questioned.

"Mom?" I croaked. "Do you have a magnifying glass by chance?"

"I may." she answered. "Let me see."

My mom started to dig through her desk drawers. Papers fell out and other knick knacks.

"Ah ha!" she exclaimed.

She pulled her hand out of the drawer revealing a magnifying glass.

That was surprisingly easy I thought.

My mom started to hand it to me then pulled her hand back.

"Why do you want it Sarah?" she asked.

"I want to look at my fake leg." I lied.

"Are you sure that won't make you any less depressed?" she pressed.

"Yeah. I'm sure." I fibbed.

"Okay." my mom sighed.

She handed me the magnifying glass and I hurried away.

"Do be careful Sarah!" she called out.

I will I thought.

"Let's see what this says." I thought out loud.

I pulled the necklace from my pocket and set it on my desk. I took the magnifying glass from my wheelchair and took a closer look at the trident charm.

"The truth appears for the one the ones who need it." I muttered.

As I spoke those words there was a bang then a flash. Finally nothing.
