Chapter 29

-3rd POV-

"As I believe I have mentioned before...servants are to perform their work unobtrusively..." Sebastian said as two of the servants flinched.

"Yeah, yeah." Bard said, cleaning his ear with his pinky.

"...like shadows. Well?" He narrowed his eyes at them, "How many times must I repeat myself until you understand the meaning of "unobtrusively"?"

"We're sooooo sorryyyy!" Mey-Rin and Finny said.

"In any case...please clean up what you three have scattered about. I shall do something about repairs and our daily duties." He noted something, "Red..." He muttered, looking at the string. As he picked up some trash, he noted a scarf, "Mister Tanaka. Do carry on as per usual." He said, throwing the scarf.

He then turned to the rest, "And, we have a new servant starting today. Do be nice to him. Lady (Y/n) has personally let him stay."

Mey-Rin gasped, "Lady (Y/n) herself?!"

Finny smiled, "If she choose them, then they must be nice!"

Joker blinked, 'These are the servants that are 'and-picked by the butler? They seem like any ordinary servants...' He thought, before nodding at them, "'ello. 'm Joker."

"Joker?" Bard smirked, "Is it 'cause you can make funny jokes?"

His eyes widen and laughed, "Ye could say that."

Sebastian clapped his hands, "Now everyone. Today will be a busy day. Devote yourselves to cleaning up and nothing else."

"Sebastian, it's awful!" Elizabeth cried out, "There's nothing! There's nothing left at alllll!"

"Excuse us. Due to the servants' ineptitude, young master's dressing room was destroyed as well..." Sebastian said, dressing Ciel, who yawned, behind a panel divider, "...and the only suits left are those we had taken to London."

"Eeeeh?! I was hoping we could get all dressed up today and take a boat ride together..." She said, glumly.

He peeked out and smiled, "I am so very sorry. As soon as I have finished repairing the manor..."

"Oh! I know! We need only have some made if you haven't any!" She put her hands together with a wide smile.

"Y-Yes, so once I am done with the repairs..."

"Easter is at the end of march, so the timing is just right!" She peeked over to look at Ciel, who was dressed, "Ciel, let's do that!" She noted that he was unresponsive, "...Ciel?"

"Hah!" The earl jumped, looking over, "Eh?!"

"Were you listening to me?!"

"Ahh...Um..."

"Then we will call for a tailor today. Is that acceptable?" The butler said.

"Yes." He then turned his head, "So you were talking about clothes..." He muttered.

"Why you, Ciel! I knew you weren't listening to me!" The girl pouted.

"No, well, um..."

"So meeeean!"

"I know! How about you have something made too, Lizzie? It'll be a gift from me."

"Really?! I'm so happy!"

The butler let out a sigh.

"I'd like an easter dress so we can decorate it with matching flowers!" She held the earl's hands.
