-3rd POV-

"Tom, he was piper's son, he learnt to play when he was young, and all the tune that he could play was "over the hills and far away..." Joker sung as he got ready for the day, "Over the hills and a great way off, the wind shall blow my top-knot off." He looked over the picture on his nightstand, "Over the hills and far away...Eh?"

-Small Flashback-

The orange haired male opened the doors, "Father. I've just now returned." He said, as he walked up the stairs and knocked on the door, "Father, may I come in?" He opened the door and walked in, closing the door behind him, "I apologize for my late arrival. The thing is, I've have word that..."

"Ooh! Ooh...Welcome back, Joker. What a good lad you are, returning so early." The so called father said, "Well? What about him? He is with you too, isn't he?" He had two children with him. A girl on his lap and a boy beside him.

"Nay, we've yet to..."

"Oh. That makes you a bad boy."

Joker got on one knee, bowing, "Forgive me, but about that matter...We fear the yard might have its eye on us."

"Let's hear the whole story."

"It seems the newcomers who joined the troupe a few days ago snuck into our tents. It is possible they saw your letter, father. If they are with the yard, we cannot do away with them heedlessly. Doing so would amount to admitting our guilt outright."

The girl on the older male's lap took the cup of tea and lifted up to his lips, while the boy filed the male's nails.

"That pair did strike me as odd from the start...That page..." The orange haired male looked up, hearing the shattering.

"A page, you say?" Father's hand trembled as the cup of tea laid on the floor.

"Father?"

"Was it a child?"

"Y-Yes. The other one was all in black. They also had twins with them."

"A child and his butler!" He slowly stood up, using the boy's head to lift himself up.

"Now that you mention it...the other one was a former butler..."

"I'm sure of it! Yes! It's them! We've done it—! It is he! Earl Ciel Phantomhive!" The male's face was covered in bandages with the exception of his mouth and eye.

"Smile, did you say?! He did not strike me as such, but..."

"I have been dreaming of him ever since that day. He'll be along soon. We must show him the greatest hospitality!" His hand trembled, "Joker! Hurry and prepare a most sumptuous feast!"

"Please wait! If that is true, Noah's Ark—the others are in danger. I must send word right away...And—"

"Joker." His eye looked dead, "You dare to talk back to me?"

The said male's eyes widen and twitching slightly.

"From the moment you lot were born, you were forsaken by everything, yet I took you in and raised you...and gave you working arms and legs. Despite that, you still dare to talk back to your father?"

"That was not—"

"No, of course not. You grew up to be a very good lad. You want the siblings you left behind at the workhouse to grow into fine adults as well, don't you? My good little Joker...will listen to his father, won't he?"

"—Yes. I will, father..."

"Having such a devoted son makes me indeed! Come here." The father had sat back down and waved his hand over, which the male gave him his skeleton hand, "It has been a while, so let's you and I take a photograph together. A photograph of the devoted son and his happy father."
