"I have w-what?" I stuttered, tears threatening to come out. I have cancer. What am I going to do? Am I going to die? What will my kids do?"

"If we start chemotherapy as soon as possible we could lower the risks of the cancer spreading. I will need you to be here tomorrow at 12 so I can introduce you your doctor and we can get you through the steps. I'm very sorry Alexa, but everything will be ok." The doctor said before he walked out. Before Nash could say anything I bursted out into tears with questions blowing up in my head.

"Shh Alexa it'll be fine." He hugged me and comforted me.

"Nash what am I going to do? I can't die, I can't leave you or the kids."

"Alexa you're not going to die. You'll be fine, I'm here for you."

"I'm scared." I cried in his arms.

"It's ok to be scared, but I'm here for you and I love you." He kissed my forehead and tightly hugged me, cradling me in his arms. I couldn't understand how Nash was so calm, how he hasn't shed a tear. This was all so sudden and I still couldn't believe I had cancer.

Nash's POV
I watched as Alexa cried herself to sleep tonight. From this moment on I knew everything was going to be different. I set Alexa gently down onto our bed and walked back into the kitchen.

"Why God why?" I yelled out and punched the wall. I bursted out into the tears I've been holding back for a while. I didn't want Alexa to see me like this because I knew that she wouldn't be fine.

"Daddy?" I heard a frail voice say. I turned to see Olivia's small figure standing near the couch. "Why are you crying."

"Oh Olivia, no I'm not crying." I wiped my tears and walked towards her to carry her. "What are you doing up?"

"I heard you and I thought you needed a hug." She giggled and hugged me.

"Thank you honey."

"So if you're not crying, why are your eyes sweating?"

"It got a little hot in here." I chuckled. "Come on, we need to get you to bed, its late." I carried her to her room and laid her on her small bed.

"Can you tell me a story?" She yawned.

"I think you should go to sleep." I kissed her cheek and let her fall into a deep sleep. I closed the door behind me and felt tears fall down my face.

"Nash?" I heard Alexa's voice.

"I really need to be more quiet when I'm up late." I said and sat in the loft.

"Why are you crying?"

"I'm not, my eyes are sweating."

"That only works on Olivia." She sat next to me.

"I'm sorry, I really didn't want you to see me this way."

"It's ok, we'll be ok."

"I love you so much."
