Chapter 25

"Turn up?" I laughed.

"What are we too old?"

"No, it's just you never say that at parties."

"True. Come on, let's go dance." He grabbed my hand and led me out to the middle of the dance floor. We began to dance while others went on the rides. We danced to a slow song, he wrapped his hands around my waist and I wrapped mine around his neck. He place his forehead on mine and we swayed back and forth, enjoying the night. "You look beautiful tonight."

"Well you picked my outfit." I smiled.

"Yeah I really didn't think things through, because we could go on rides yet I decided to dress formally." he chuckled.

"Oh well." I shrugged.

"I love you so much."

"I love you too." I pecked his lips.

"How did I get so lucky to be with you and to have you in my life?"

"I ask myself the same thing." As we danced I began to get slightly dizzy and lightheaded. "Can we sit down for a second?"

"Yeah are you ok?" He led me towards a bench.

"I just got dizzy for a second." I weakly said.

"You look a little pale."

"No I'm fine, I probably got up quickly."

"Alexa your nose is bleeding." Before I could react I felt myself grow weak and I blacked out.

I woke up in a cold room that made chills go down my spine and there was a light beeping sound.

"Hey you're awake." Nash said.

"What happened?" I slowly sat up.

"You fainted and you had a fever when you came in, the doctors are running some tests but you'll be fine." he kissed my knuckles.

"Sorry for ruining the night for you."

"Alexa don't be sorry, I care about you and your health."

"Thank you." I slightly smiled. "And the kids?"

"They're outside in the waiting room with my dad."

"What time is it?"

"Midnight."

"You should take them home, it's late."

"I'm not leaving you."

"I'm not going to to argue with you, I'm to weak."

After a while of sitting in silence there was knock at the door.

"Hello Alexa, how are you feeling?" The doctor said.

"I'm fine, just feel a little weak."

"That's normal, we ran some blood tests Alexa and I can't say that it's good news."

"What's the bad news?"

"Alexa I'm sorry to say this but you have leukemia, blood cancer."
