-Amanda's P.O.V-
After the wedding, I texted my best friend Brooke. I told her about meeting Jack and how we danced. She was shocked I even talked to someone new.
I got ready for bed as I texted her. I have school tomorrow and I don't even want to go.
-----------------
I woke up to my annoying alarm clock. I hit it and laid for a couple of seconds before actually getting up.
I got up and put ripped jeans, a plain black shirt and my red vans on. Then I did my makeup and straightened my hair. I grabbed my bag and went down to get breakfast.
"Good morning sweetie."
"Good morning."
It sucks because I can't say that to my dad anymore. He died in the war about 5 years ago. It was hard on me, but worse on my mom. She's actually been doing better, but I know she's still hurting from it.
I ate my breakfast and got in my moms car. I didn't get my license yet because, well, honestly I didn't care to get it. I probably should though.
My mom parked and I got out. I said goodbye and found Brooke.
"So. About that Jack guy.. Did you get his number?" She seemed too excited about it.
"Nah. He said that he'll see me around though." She frowned.
"You needed to get it! What if you don't see him again?"
"Then I don't see him." She got mad at my comment. It didn't matter to me, even though I would rather see him.
We walked to our first class, which thankfully we have together. I sat in my original spot next to her and I began taking the notes on the board. I was totally focused when someone whispered a 'pssst' and distracted me. At first I didn't think it was for me, until they said my name. I slowly turned around to see Jack.
"It is you! I didn't know we go to the same school!" I was in shock he was here, or that I would even see him again.
"Yeah.. Nice to see you again." He smiled and I turned back around. The last thing I need is to get in trouble. But I had to tell Brooke.
"Brooke." I tapped her shoulder. She looked at me and I pointed behind me, making sure Jack couldn't see.
"Oh he's cute! Do you have a crush on him?"
I shook my head. "No no that's Jack. I didn't know he goes to this school." She turned back around and now Jack noticed. He waved awkwardly and looked back at the board.
"Omg he's so cute. You need to get his number."
"No way. We don't even know each other." She shrugged.
The class ended and as I walked out, I could hear Jack yelling my name. He finally caught up with me.
"Hey"
"Yeah?" He continued to walk with me. Brooke had to go the other way for her second class of the day, so I was stuck with him.
"What's your next class?"
"Biology."
He nodded and continued to walk with me. "Okay well I have Ms. Peterson right next to that. I'll walk with you." He smiled and I smiled back.
"You seem really shy" I nodded. I don't like to get close to anybody especially guys because I know what it'll end like. A broken heart.
"I just don't talk much." I used to be really outgoing, but my dads death made me go all hush mode. And I wasn't going to tell that to Jack. He seemed to understand.
We got to my class and he stood at the door for a second. I said bye and walked to me seat. He came in my class just to wave. I waved back, and I received so many glares from girls. I'm guessing he's some heartthrob of the school.
----------The school day ended as I waited outside for my mom. My phone buzzed and it was from my mom.
Mom: I won't be able to make it. I have a little bit of overtime, can you walk?
Me: yeah. Love you.
I don't live far but I hate walking home. I began to walk towards my house when a jeep pulled up next to me.
"Do you want a ride?" It was Jack. I didn't really want to get in his car.
"Um I'll be okay. Thanks though."
He laughed and shook his head. "Come on, it's just a ride." I sighed and agreed. I was about to get in the front when a blonde haired kid was sitting there.
"Oh sorry you'll have to sit in back, is that okay?" I nodded and sat in the back.
The blonde kid turned around. "Hey I'm Jack. But people call me Johnson because it's easier."
I was so confused but I introduced myself to him. "Nice to meet you."
The car ride was awkward but I gave him the directions. We finally got to my house.
"Bye Amanda!!" They both yelled. I waved back and went inside. I liked both of them, they were like the only people to talk to me first. I liked it.
