Chapter 10

-Amanda's P.O.V-

After fixing the song, they released it. They had gained more fans from it, about 3,000 more I think. They released 2 other songs and had started to become more famous. I was so proud of them for becoming something big like this.

I was hanging out with Jack one day and something immediately popped into my head.

"Would you ever forget about me when you become famous?" He looked over at me and raised his eyebrow.

"No. Why would you think that?"

"Well most famous people forget about their best friends. I don't want it to be like that." I looked down at my thumbs.

"Look at me" I looked up "I would never forget about you. Don't forget that. We'll be best friends until the end." He smiled and I smiled back. I don't know why I thought about that but I felt better by asking.

But what if he did? I don't know how I would handle that because he's my best friend and it would suck. No it would hurt to be forgotten about.

I still have a crush on him, but I know I'm not ready. I've been hurt before and I know the type he can be. I've heard so many stories and I won't let them become a reality. If he wasn't a player, I don't know if my feeling would change but it would be easier to convince me to be with him.

I have been the first person to hear their songs and listen to check them. I was kind of like an editor or something like that. I felt super special and I loved being the first to hear it.

Some of their fans know that Jack and I are best friends. They seem to like it which is good. I hear so many stories about hate from people when celebrities have best friends. I wasn't going to be in between his fans and him.

"Are you excited to be a singer?"

"Super. I have always pictured myself in the spotlight on stage performing. I've wanted to perform like that for a long time now. It's happening so quickly but I can keep up with it." His face lit up just talking about it. I could tell he was serious about this. I was going to be here behind both of them until they decided not to do anymore music.

We were sitting on my couch just watching movies. It was around lunch time and I knew we were both hungry but Jack said something first.

"Hey wanna go get something to eat?" I stood up as my stomach grumbled. He chuckled and grabbed his car keys. We walked out to his jeep and drove to a nearby McDonalds. It sounded so good at the time.

We ordered and found a spot to sit for a while. Suddenly a girl about our age walked over to us. She kind of hesitated to talk but she finally spat out her words.

"H-Hey are you Jack Gilinsky?" He looked just as shocked as I did.

"Yes I am" he smiled with a big cheesy grin.

"Could I get a picture with you?" He stood up and hugged the girl for a picture. She totally freaked out and hugged him. He sat back down but she still stood there.

"Is she your girlfriend?" She didn't sound mad or rude about it but it was weird to be asked that from a stranger.

"Oh no she's my best friend." He looked at me and smiled.

Her face turned bright red "I'm so sorry."

"It's okay. It was super nice to meet you." He smiled and she awkwardly walked away.

"I didn't know people would start coming up to you so soon! It's crazy."

"Same like I was so shocked when she asked for a picture and if that's who I was. I kind of like it."

He took a bite of his burger and his eyes lit up. "Just imagine more people doing that everyday. I can't wait" I couldn't wait to see that happen to him.

We finished and drove back to my house. As soon as we got there he called Jack.

"Holy shit Jack you won't believe this"

He told Johnson all about how a girl recognized him. Apparently a few people recognized him too. They literally fangirled about it until Jack decided to get off the phone. It was crazy how fast things happen.
